Thanks to seemingly never ending supply issues, finding a second guitar for Guitar Hero II can be quite a challenge. Now, if you want to spend a little extra scratch, you can find custom guitars on eBay. Put up for auction by sheppyboy2000, the guitar features an original black-on-red paint job. This is actually his second guitar (you can see the first one here). Apparently stickers weren't enough for sheppyboy2000. You'd better really want this puppy, though: the current high bid is $85 with $11 more for shipping. For that price, you could buy a brand new copy of Guitar Hero II and give it to a friend. Still, if you like custom gaming accessories, this one seems pretty nice. Oh, and sheppyboy2000 plans to make more, so keep your eyes peeled if you like what you see.[Thanks, Adam Wessel]

I know this isnt the place to put this but I gotta post about something in the market I saw.
The company Ea are a bunch of assholes.
There is new downloadable content in the market for NBA Live 08, during the almost peak of the NBA playoffs and what do they do?
Do they release a demo of 08? No. They release the announcement for who is going to be on the cover of thier game. Not only this but they wanna charge 150 MS points to watch the dumb ass thing when its prob Lebron,Wade or Duncan or Wallace. Who ever thought up this idea at Ea and felt people would pay to download that, Needs to be fired from EA, Banned from the gamming industry and hung upsidedown naked from thier balls in time square for a period of no less than 10 days. All of this is redundant anyways as 2k games 2k series has and will continue to completly own the live franchise just as they will again take the football gener. Better hope 2k dont wanna make a boxing game EA.......heh.

Its not ugly, I think it looks pretty cool. The price tag sorta hurts but if you want to go custom you have to pay.

Sho E Nuff, it's my work. Kinda suprised to see it make a headline, cool! Price so far isn't so bad. I mean, the controller by itself runs $60 and I had to buy paints. I also had to modify the original design
sketches found here

to make it much more "easily repeatable" and also to reduce on the level of overspray. More detailed your stencil gets, more overspray you get. Admittedly, it's not my favorite design of the current 4 planned. I prefer Data Surf. The auction has a link to the first failed attempt on that one. I stripped it and hopefully the newer version will go up sometime Sunday.
Also working on revising the dragon design. And STILL need to settle on a design for punk rock girls. And yes, I am also modifying the design to accomidate the original PS2 controllers as well.

congrats on the recognition! ... this could end up being a lucritive business ... would it be possible to do this all using vinyl dye, making it extra professional looking?

"would it be possible to do this all using vinyl dye, making it extra professional looking?" Truth be told, did not expect it to be lucrative at all. After all, this is a simple surface repaint, nothing special. So going into it, I had the simple concept of making it cheap and making it easy. I'm trying to limit the project to designs which take less than three hours of work per kit. And I know many people love having the custom designs.
So as tempted as I was to go into more professional materials, I don't really think there is a market for the premium.
Truthfully, this all started because I didn't like the white controller and wanted something special. Once the first one was done, bunch of people told me I should sell them at it went from there. Actually, I'm thinking of even setting up an order site where people can order one of the paint jobs and rather than buy a new controller, simply ship me their old one. Granted, turnaround would be about a week.
