While it may not be as exciting as, say, a downloadable expansion, there is new Catan content available on Xbox Live Arcade. It's not particularly exciting though, as it won't significantly alter your game at all. First, there is a picture pack available that will set you back 100 MS Points. Somewhat more interesting, you can download the Mayfair skin, which will give your gameboard the appearance of the original Mayfair Games version. The Mayfair skin will set you back 100 points as well.
Anyone planning on downloading this content, or will you save your money for an expansion?

Would I use the new skin if it was free? Probably. Would I pay $1.25 to have it look closer to the real life game? um... no way.
I've been voting with my dollar on XBLA. I don't care if they've made MS points in to something that's not money so you feel better about wasting them (like a casino does with chips) I convert it all to dollars and then judge if I'd spend that much for that service or product.

this game looks like its been developed for DLC, they haven't exactly been subtle about the "expansion pack" that adds new AI into the game, I'm sure that a vast vast majority of people can survive with the um... x AIs and different difficulty levels

First expansion I want is for 5/6 players. After that then I hope to see Cities and Knights along with the Seafarers and the 5/6 player expansions for those.
I will not spend money on new skins for the game though.

I took the Mayfair skin because it's the version I'm most familiar playing with here in the US. Now it looks exactly like the Settlers I know and love.
