1. The UFC trailers are not any better. I posted a little blurb about it in the official 360 forums about the horrible macroblocking. Any movement and the whole picture becomes a mosaic. I really hope this isn't a preview of things to come for the 360 online store...

2. The MTVN movie was the first HD movie I've seen that was low-def. The SD movies on the other hand, are always low-def, and that is continuing to piss me off! They say it's 480p, but it's always considerably less. That's why I always download HD movies, even though I have a SDTV. Unnecessary waste of my disk space!

3. My guess is that it's another deinterlacing issue. Interlacing combs are 1 pixel wide so they take huge amounts of bandwith to encode (unless the codec supports it, WMV does not). Then again some of the other videos on Live show very amateurish deinterlacing.

Anyway, I can't check those vids out, because... um, I don't know why, probably because I'm in Europe. We never get movie trailers.

4. I noticed this with the new artist of the month video from incubus. It's not full screen and it certainly didn't look like it was in 720p.

5. I believe if they dont fix these previews soon and redistribute the program is going to fail. The UFC ones had a great difference in quality, bt what im figuring is that I can actually get better quality on my DirecTV.... I also think they should release some prices to get thing interesting. Another thing to point out that is worrying me is that if you go to the media blade and go to your videos on the HDD you can see where it displays the video information it says "Does not expire" on the videos that i currently have. My question is what will expire??? I hope some things get answered.

6. To add to what i wrote. Something I find really awkward is that the videos that have been out before this whole video marketplace started are much better quality. Are these companies making their SD videos look like crap all pixelated so that their "HD" videos look alot better. Man i hope MS doesnt screw up on this good idea which is badly managed.

7. This could be a mistake and maybe MS isn't enforcing any standard for video. Or this could be getting everyone used to and prepared for a bunch of low quality images to save space and speed up download times. WMV-HD is pure garbage so maybe this is what we can expect when you don't embrace other standards for video encoding.

8. I had no problem at all with the HD UFC one. I thought it looked great. The MTV one was just horrible though.
