What did I spy when I got home on Wednesday, buried among a week's worth of useless coupons? My rental copy of LEGO Star Wars II, of course! So, naturally, I'll be digging into that posthaste. I've still got to finish Overtime Mode in Dead Rising, too. Not to mention I've only just finished the first episode of DOOM. And, come to think of it, I've still got a copy of Enchanted Arms that I haven't even touched yet. Now all the holiday games are starting to drop as well. Damn, how the hell are we supposed to fit all this stuff in?
But enough of my petty problems. The real question is -- as always -- what are you playing?

What am I playing? Nothing. :-(
Had the red ring of death last week, old console went off to the menders never to return. My hard-disk (with all my saves) went with it and 'aint coming back. The one they sent me doesn't work either (it won't get an IP address from my wireless network) so I'm looking at a few more weeks of staring at the Dead Rising box, wishing, and waiting...

Right now I'm trying to finish up Lego Star Wars 2 by wednesday, when splinter cell comes out. I'm also enjoying NBA 2k7 and I just bought a copy of Kameo on Ebay for $15 and I'm loving the game.

My launch console left me. In a brown cardboard box, headed towards Texas. I still miss her.
No, really, my 360 is in Texas getting fixed. It's been almost a month now too.

I'm done with Lego Star Wars. Now I'm chasing achievements in Dig Dug. Just have to dig up the entire screen and have a rock fall on four guys at once.

Buying King Kong is best regarded as a mistake. In no case should it be more than a rental. That isn't saying that it's a bad game, it's just saying that the game is easily played through over a weekend (if that), and there isn't really any replay value in it.
I'm not sure what I'll be playing this weekend. Maybe KOTOR via BC, or, I might get into Dead Rising (I have it and haven't yet played it). I might try to get through the evil campaign in Battle for Middle Earth instead (found it used for a reasonable price, and it's looking like it will be available used from me soon, not a whole lot here, should have rented it).
I rented Shutokou Battle for a couple nights this week and enjoyed it (I also enjoyed it on DC, and it's basically the same game). I'm not sure why rumble is not in it (one of the more memorable/annoying aspects of the DC version was that the purupuru pack would give a jolt every time you went over one of those splits in the pavement that are about every 20 feet on the Tokyo highway system. It wasn't actually really bad unless you were using the Tremor Pack, which was about 500% more jolt every time it went off).
I may play some TDU. I thought about the PSOU beta, but I've decided against it. I won't be buying the game (probably a rental for single player only), because I won't be paying a monthly fee to play it.

I rented DoA4, since I've been wanting to try it for so long but haven't had the chance. Pretty good game, but the computers kick my ass too much. =(
I've been playing a bit of Doom, as well. I'm just horrible in multiplayer. I've been playing games where you can look anywhere you want for so long...but then you switch back to the old days and it's so different. I can't get used to it!
Other then that, I'm just waiting for mid-November. Gears of War and Vegas! It's going to be an exciting month!

I'm playing the best basketball video game on any system ever, NBA 2K7.
I bought Live first because I was sold on the new feature where players don't 'skate' up and down the court. I was sold on the fact that you could have a pivot foot to drop step as a power forward or spin to shoot a turn around jumper. The notion that an offensive player could use body leverage with an established foot hold was enormous.
And when I got the game home to play I found out it was true, but...
...everything else stunk.
The game froze up. I had players take leaps without any dribbling without a walk call. I had players dunk inside out of the basket. And to top it off I couldn't connect to Live and play online.
So pretty much, see ya' bye NBA Live.
NBA 2K7 has got a lot of features, but more important, it has a plethora of subtlities that warm your heart. And all of those promises that sold me on Live is also in 2k7.
So I'm playing it, and to be fair to EA, Madden.
I am looking to rekindle the love I had for Oblivion as well until Gears and Marvel Ultimate Alliance comes out.

This weekend I'll be at DigitalLife in NYC (again, since I went on Thursday) playing a LOT more of Small Arms and Lumines in the XBLA booth as well as some more Guitar Hero II.
Really pissed that the Viva Pinata stations are not really demos...more like narrated walk-throughs...ugh.
I might even try my hand at some Resistance: Fall of Man. Looked good from what I saw...but not anything I haven't seen before. And man, if you haven't seen a PS3 in the flesh...that baby is HUGE!

I'll be playing the Phantasy Star Universe Beta. I'm not planning on buying the retail game, especially since I'm playing Final Fantasy XI (Heaven knows why). I sure hope it isn't much better than FFXI, or I'll be a pretty sad dude.
