Looks like Madden will be shipping with a few known bugs this year. First, gamers will be able to draft Hall of Fame players in Franchise Mode. EA claims that this is actually a feature, and not a bug at all. The other bug, especially disturbing since it should have been discovered in testing long ago, is that players aren't registering fatigue. That is to say, the players do fatigue, they just don't show it in the user interface. So far, EA has only said that a patch will be available "soon" after release.

Admittedly, I'm not a football fan, but it seems like this should have been an easy thing to spot.

Madden 06 did this to me many times! I sold it a while back and i bought 07 but i havent played it yet...(my 360 and tv are packed for the move back to school). It better not do that again to me. Also with 06, i would always be about 1 minute left in the 4th quarter and it would go around the stadium like you said and then freeze and i would have to reboot and start over again. Please EA, fix this shit already!

22. In my opinion the only reason EA even makes games is to become a household name. EA wants fame and they want money. They care nothing about gamers hell I've even got decent proof. I play UO (ultima online) and even though this game is 10 years outdated. Has never had any patches to fix the vast amount of problems with this game. They still charge people 12.99 a month to play. I stopped playing because I won't pay nearly 15 bucks a month for a game twice as outdated as diablo 2. I wish something could change the way EA treats gamers but obviously they are becoming sort of a monopoly. So we're screwed and I guess we better get use to it.

23. If you don't have broadband to update then your screwed. Might as well buy a ps2 or a Game Cube. 360 is purely for the online gamer.

24. So patches are an Microsoft thing... LOL, that's funny, since.. who was it.. tetsuya Nomura of Square and some other Japanese developers on PS3 games are looking forward to not needing to spend so much money on QA testing.. since they can patch them.

Patching is the future of consoles.. Sony Microsoft, AND Nintendo

25. ive got this game sitting on my desk, still sealed. never played a football game. thought itd be cool. now i dont watch football... is this as bad as people say? or are you just nitpicking/having high standards, mad that its not TOO diff from 06, or NFL hardcore fans? is it really that bad? i thought it looked pretty and got good reviews. should i really return it?

26. The game does look OK, I guess, then again it's football, I was just as happy with Joe Montana on the Genesis.

I hate all of the cutting away from the field, and the hesitations in the game are annoying as hell, the game freezes just enough as the screens are flipping in and out from one to another...With the power of the 360 there is no reason for this game to be running so shitty...

27. Number 25. This game is not bad by any standards. I am not going to say that its the best football game ever or the game of the year, but if you think that getting to control a football game or some of your favorite players is cool, then yes open it. Also it is Much Much more deep than the previous instalment on the 360. I think its worth the money and is a very fun game, especially the 0ne on one competition that you can have with friends. OPEN IT!
