I know everyone is excited that Frogger is coming to XBLA today, but let's get this boring Street Fighter II news out of the way first. Street Fighter II -- the one Live Arcade game that nobody is anticipating at all -- will be sold for 800 MS Points, or 10 American dollars. Okay, there. I'm sorry. Here's the real news: Frogger will be sold for a paltry 400 points ($5). Heck, just take a look at the whole list:
- July 12 - Frogger, 400 points ($5)
- July 19 - Cloning Clyde, 800 points ($10)
- July 26 - Galaga, 400 points ($5)
- August 2 - Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting, 800 points ($10)
- August 9 - Pac-Man, 400 points ($5)

I'm sure that we will all see a fury of complaints re: the 800 points price for Street Fighter II. But who cares, it's Street Fighter man!!! With all of the NEW features that are included it will be worth it!!!

I think 800 points is a fair price.

I downloaded the trial version for Frogger and I thought the graphics sucked. The screen looked all smushed in and longated and just looked terrible on my 56" HDTV. I was very disappointed. I quite the game right away in disgust and went back to the dashboard. Then I noticed 3 other friends where playing it and one had purchased it. I rang him up and asked him if he had the same problem. He did but was not to bothered by it. Then he decided to check the options and in there where two settings to adjust the screen size. This was a first to my knowledge. Why would they do this. Anyways I tried it again and adjusted the screen size and I was much happier.
I hope I didn't loss you by now but if you tried Frogger out and didn't like it either because the screen size was all jacked up. Give it a try one more time and adjust the screen size. You will find it is alot better.

I'm pretty shocked, I expected a $15 price point or something else unreasonable. $10 seems pretty fair since there's online play.

I'm probably buying Street Fighter... AGAIN. Maybe Capcom should give it to me because I've been buying almost every iteration of the game, so... but seriously, I'm only excited for SF2 and Cloning Clyde (which I'll have to try anyway).
I'm not going to sit long hours to break records on simple ass old games like Pac-Man (which already has a famous world record, the max ever possible, no need for XBLA leaderboards), Galaga and Frogger which I just tried.
Then again, if they add some twists and/or new graphics to it, I might buy them. But again, bless microsoft for adding trial versions (but curse them for milking us with 5 dollar games).
