I know there has been a shortage of Xbox 360 systems here in the U.S. (I barely got my "premium" system on launch and I pre-ordered in MAY!). So I'm glad Microsoft will be beefing up production by adding an additional manufacturer. But I belive the shortage is limited to JUST the United States. If I'm not mistaken, the Japanese have yet to deplete their initial allotment! Wasn't their launch date around the same time as ours?! This is depressing news as the Japanese are not warming up to Microsoft's new box (like the original Xbox). What will this mean for U.S. 360 gamers? Little Japanese support means we'll never see TEKKEN 360, VIRTUA FIGHTER 360, DRAGON QUEST 360, and a plethora of "could've been" Japanese titles to hit our console. Looks like we'll still need that PS3 after all.

Shortages in the Netherlands seem mostly resolved, was problematic until Christmas but now you should be able to find one in shops here if you try hard on shipping days.
