The Xbox 360 Fancast is back yet again with another farm-fresh episode. During this week's extra long episode we gab about the new Halo 3 custom options, Guitar Hero III, Forza custom cars, and the ultra spiffy Microsoft Surface. We ship straight from the source directly to you, and our Fancasts are baked, never fried. For best results, listen to Fancast within one week of download.

Xbox 360 Fancast 018 -- Et Tu, Fanboy?

Try as we might, we seem to have trouble shuffling 3 whole people into the "studio" these days, so you may notice that Dustin is absent during this episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast. We apologize for the delay, by the way. We were busy stuffing ourselves with exotic meats. This week we discuss EndWar, the fantastic Assassin's Creed trailer, new Guitar Hero III tracks, and oh so much more. Listen now or find yourself doomed to an extra hour and thirteen minutes of wretched free will.

WRUP: hard work edition

Posted May 25th 2007 9:30AM by Richard Mitchell
Filed under: What are you playing?

Yeah yeah, we know. We've been running Halo 3 beta themed WRUPs for the last two weeks. We're really sorry about that, but for the moment it's just the biggest thing out there in 360 land, and is likely to remain so until it's over. If you've been playing it much, you may have noticed that there are some serious Halo players out there. So serious, in fact, that they deserve to be called playas. As MTV's Stephen Totilo put it, beating them may require an amount of practice that "closely resembles work". But hey, that's the price of fun, right?

Should you find yourself taking a break from the beta, we suggest you try out the flood of demos that have come out in the last several weeks. You've got Blacksite, Forza 2, DIRT, even Viva Piñata has come back to the Marketplace. Why not give one a spin?

So, what will you be playing this weekend?

X3F Fanpatch 1.2: introducing galleries!

As Xbox 360 Fanboy continues to grow, so do our website features. X3F is proud to announce the roll-out of image galleries! We've already rolled them into a handful of posts (see a sample gallery at the bottom of this post), but there is another exciting new feature as well, the Featured Galleries section. You can find this section on the right-hand side of Xbox 360 Fanboy. The Featured Galleries section shows off our most recent galleries and let's you peruse them at your leisure. Our new galleries allow us to share higher resolution images than before, and you can expect to see a lot more of them now that they've been fully implemented.

Go check 'em out and tell us what you think.

Xbox 360 Fancast 017 -- Mail Call

It's time yet again for another edition of the Xbox 360 Fancast. This week, we take a look at PGR3's uncanny ability to promote Sony products, the NPD numbers for April, and rant about what Microsoft needs to do to keep it's new gen lead. We also examine the howling rage of the internets caused by the lateness of the Halo 3 beta. After the break, we take special time to crack open the Fanmail barrel and pull out some freshly pickled emails (with extra garlic). Okay, so it's a disgusting metaphor but the upshot is we answer a lot more letters than usual this week. Maybe we answer yours! You'll have to download to find out. You may do so below.

Fancast Xtra -- Halo 3 beta chat

Posted May 15th 2007 3:15PM by Richard Mitchell

If you don't like Halo, this is going to be a rough three weeks for you, because everyone here at Fanboy Towers loves it. Since David Dreger couldn't make it to the most recent episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast, we decided to record a special session just to talk about our experiences with the beta thus far. In this Fancast Xtra, we take plenty of time discussing the 3 maps (Snowbound, High Ground, and Valhalla), the new weapons, and the equipment items of the Halo 3 beta. Think of it as an audio primer for the beta, which officially rolls out tomorrow.

Subscribers (RSS MP3, iTunes) will receive the Xtra automatically. Others may download the MP3 by hitting the "read" link.

Xbox 360 Fancast 016 -- Smooth Like Beta

You may notice something strange about this episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast. A thought might creep into your mind that it is missing a certain maple flavor. You may come to think that there is an overwhelming lack of hockey (or hockey's bastard cousin, curling). Should any such thoughts occur to you, know this: our resident Canadian is missing. But no worries, he'll be back later this week with lots of Halo 3 beta talk. Speaking of the Halo 3 beta, this week's episode is chock-full of creamy Halo 3 beta goodness. We also take some time to talk Shadowrun and J Allard's new 'do. Download at your convenience below.

Xbox 360 Fancast 015 -- Shadowrunning at the mouth

This week, we bring you a super special edition of the Xbox 360 Fancast. Rather than just listening to us gab on and on about Burnout Paradise, the new Gears of War maps, and the metric ton of leaked Halo 3 goodness (which we do), why not listen to an interview with Mitch Gitelman? Who's Mitch Gitelman you ask? Why he's none other than the studio manager of FASA Studio, creators of the upcoming Xbox 360 and PC title, Shadowrun. We talk his ear off for nearly an hour about all things Shadowrun, from the game's genesis to its impending release. You may download the show below ... and you'd better.

Screw shopping, let's play Gears

Posted Nov 24th 2006 11:00AM by Dustin Burg
Filed under: Xbox Live, Gears of War

I was up bright and early to do some shopping and let's just say it sucked. Lots of people, lots of driving and lots of coffee. So, in protest of going shopping today I invite you to join me on Xbox Live today for some Gears of War multiplayer fun. I'll be online today (after I take a nap) in the afternoon playing Gears with some friends so I invite you to join us. Who wants to go shopping anyway? And for those Xbox 360 Fanboys that end up kicking my ass I'll update this post and list their gamertags so everyone in fanboy'dom can worship their greatness. Instant celebrity! My gamertag is SuperDunners, so simply send me a friend request or a message stating you'd like to prove your Gears of War greatness and I'll send you a game invite. Yeah, it's quite leisurely and low key and yes you can talk as much smack as you want, but be forewarned ... I am crazy good. See you online this afternoon!
