Coming from the guys over at MAXCONSOLE comes word that Samsung is developing an Xbox 360 built into a LCD television called the X-Series and will feature 4 USB ports, 512MB HDD and is set to release this November in both the US and Europe. Interesting, no? Our official take on this Xbox 360 TV rumor is that it's a quick photoshop job and is complete bologna. Especially the fact that it'll only use a 512MB HDD, because we don't think they even manufacture 512MB hard drives anymore. Pessimism is all the rage.
Ahem, calling all creative geniuses who want to start their own television show! Both Microsoft and the New York Television Festival have teamed up to offer upcoming writers, directors and stars a chance to start their own TV mini-series on the XBLM. Starting today, Xbox Live users can submit a 5-15 minute pilot episode of their show based on any genre and ranging from live-action to animation. There's really no limitations on creative license here. And sometime in July the winning pilot episode will be chosen and offered $100,000 to create six more episodes that'll be offered exclusively on the XBLM and a screening at the 2007 New York Television Festival. We know there are a lot of creative fanboys out there, get to work and make us (and the community) proud.
Major Nelson just posted a list of what content will be coming to the XBLM this week. It looks like we've only got one movie (Hunt for Red October), but a few good television shows. They are even giving us an episode of Pros v. Joes and The Sarah Silverman Program for FREE, but only for limited time. And there's a new Artist of the Month, erm ... this month. Compose yourself and give it up for this month's Artist of the Month Good Charlotte (thunderous applause)! We just love teenage angst music ... it makes us feel good about ourselves. Check out the complete list of new XBLM content after the break.
