Damn, thats a big blow to Sony!

How will Sony and Nintendo counter?
The Dashboard update makes the recent PS3 update look like a joke. It also makes nintendo's online non exsistence.

Nintendo doesnt have to counter... since they were never planned for FF13, they are pretty much watching the Square Hadoken PS3 with their shades and labcoats on.
If they had anything aimed at them, it was LIPS, which was more like Dan's Hadoken... it didnt even go as far as the Microsoft Palm....
Just as well though concidering MS has been adamant that they are not in the same battle as Nintendo... and Ill agree completely with that.

OMG, I have no reason to buy a PS3 now. In my eyes, the 360 is now the definite console to own.

Seeing as how 8 Days & The Getaway 3 were both canceled and I played MGS4. FF13 was the only reason I'd buy a PS3, not anymore. Long live 360!

I would still get a ps3 but only for GOW3 and realistically, buying a console for one game, meh, not gonna happen unless its 200 bucks.

As a moderate PS3 fanboy, I'm pretty astonished. This is a MAJOR blow to the console. I'm glad that you'll all get to play the game though.

Meh, we are not surprised. I saw this coming.
I'm just glad more people will enjoy this game when it comes.
But to be honest, not to sound like a rabid fanboy of the other consoles...
But all that other stuff was "Been there, done that".
Sorry, but that's true.

I had always intended to purchase 2 PS3's (for myself and daughter) as we're huge FF fans. With this announcement I no longer see a need to purchase a Sony system this gen. I truly did not see this coming, what a coup for MS.
