Xbox 360 Fanboy

I'm kind of confused as to why they would do this even if the game were to be delayed. After November there's not terribly much room to argue that it's to avoid Halo 3... and last we heard MS was offering ways for companies (such as Epic) to use outside content like the PS3 version of this will.

Either way I can wait, I just hope it's not a bad sign and that the game does every thing on 360 that it should.

OXM had UT3 as a cover story and they talked about playing the 360 build of the game so I would think it's close to being completed. Why has Epic all of a sudden decide to show the PS3 the love and push the 360 title out? THANKS EPIC! Gamers are just Epics b!tches.. The whole Halo 3 thing is crap IMO. I believe they made some special deal with Sony after Sony saw the success of Gears of War. They don't pay for exclusives riiiigggghhhttt.. Sony probably said WE ARE PLAYSTATION we deserve something better than Gears of War and we need to have it before the Xbox 360. waaaaaaaahhhhhhhh FU Sony!

Grow the hell up! Who really cares about this? I mean REALLY cares? No one, that's who. Are you going to throw a little hissy fit at anything that even remotely resembles good news for the PS3? Like it even matters at this point. What do you think is going to happen, UT3 will come out and everyone will abandon 360 for PS3 for a couple of weeks of exclusivity?

I got a question... why after selling millions of copies for gears of war... Which was a half-assed game... does epic decide to give their better game a timed exclusive to ps3... which from what I remember... sony doesn't pay shit for exclusives of any type.

I happened to like Gears, even if it was a really short ride.

UT is an *old* franchise and they have a solid following. That said, I don't think its success hinges on if they release with a timed exclusive or not. Bungie has already bit a sizeable chunk off of Epic fanbase, and releasing UT3 for 360 later is probably an attempt to soften the impact of Bungie's Halo3 release.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I hope they push it back quite a bit anyway, they are too many good games coming out on 360 that im looking to buy , don't know if im gonna have enought time to play them all.

P.S.:

Perhaps this is just a delay due to all of the hyped/anticipated releases due out in the Oct/Nov timeframe. UT3 could be an early December release. You know Epic wants in on some Xmas2007 action.

Show me some proof that this delay wasn't something to do with Sony?? I never said that people would abandon the 360 for the PS3 so move Sony's ballz out of you eyes and re-read what I wrote. We are not talking about a couple weeks of exclusive we are talking probably 4-6 months. Why would a game so far into development suddenly disappear off the radar like it has??

Razer... I just read your comment... I didn't read it before putting my post down... but seriously... how many copies of Gears did we sell for them... A half-assed game that was just a test-bed for the Unreal engine 3...

I think these "Timed" Exclusives are just stupid. If it is not a "REAL" Exclusive then that is not gonna sway anybody to one system or the other. So all it does is pi$$ off the owners of one or the other system for 3 to 6 months. I own PS3 and 360 so It means squat to me, but if the Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo didn't bother wasting money buying "Timed" Exclusives then maybe they could lower the cost of all 3 systems by another $50... Maybe even let us Online Game for Free on our 360's...

I totally agree. There are tons of gaming blockbusters for the 360 that Epic would be competing with right now, unlike the (???) for PS3. Sony went to Epic and wanted to buy exclusivity, Epic looks at their projected release date, decides to make a buck and not compete with all of the other 360 titles, let alone Halo 3. While I may be able to afford to buy games as they come out, I work too much to be able to play them all as they should be played. Most gamers will buy one or two games this holiday season, and there are at least 10 really good titles coming out for the 360.

That said, I'm sure that UT3 is already finished for the 360, as it is much simpler to port from PC to the 360. The same cannot be said for PS3. I hope Sony's poor programming architecture doesn't hinder the 360's release date by much though. If it comes out first quarter '08 I'd be happy.

To those bs'ing GOW, why?? Did you play the multiplayer? I liked the single-player campaign, even though it was relatively short, it was still well done. The graphics and playability were top-notch. My friends and I were even comparing it with Bioshock, and we came to the conclusion that Gears had in fact better graphics, and had multiplayer. (not to diss Bioshock, sick as hell)

I'm a PS3 fanboy lurker and I just gotta say, I think we get all your outcasts trolling PS3 fanboy, most of you all actually seem like decent folk.

Either way, I don't really think there's a big difference between the release dates, I own a PS3 and 360 but i'll be getting the PS3 version for the mouse and mod support.. that was the real deal breaker for me. So as it is right now, the PS3 fanboys will get thier version, the 360 fanboys will get their version, and everyone's happy :D

Here's to hoping there will be cross-platform play, would look forward to fragging fellow gamers regardless of system prefrence >:D
