We like us some Marathon. That is no secret. For many people, however, Marathon: Durandal on Xbox Live Arcade will be their first experience with Bungie's seminal shooter. If you find yourself in such a situation, you may find the video above to be an edifying experience. The game packs some serious action as well as many features that were very new during Marathon's heyday, including reloading weapons, alternate fire, and dual-wielding. Oh yeah, and the ability to look up and down? Well that was just crazy (and something you wouldn't find in DOOM, for example). The fact that it also serves as a basis for many of the weapons, story elements, ideas, and concepts of Halo is just gravy. Watch and enjoy.
If you're really inclined to delve into Halo's history, you can grab the entireMarathontrilogy for free.
how could you not like it the change from its orginal form to HD is amazing it looks awsome plus if you liked Doom whitch most people Do this is just 10x better with 8 player co-op and VS plus 4 player split screen so you can have fun with friends it will be great to play when friends are over im buying this before i trail it.
I'm looking forward to this one. I never played the Marathon games before, plus I have DOOM on XBLA but it would be nice to have another fun shooter on the console :)
Im gonna get this because for the most part, I love fps games and am all about anything good for the Arcade.
However, I havnt played it before but I do know it has all kind of things Doom Didnt have.
But I wonder, dose Marathon have that "evil" element that Doom manages to produce? Like I said, I wont know till I play it.

I was thinking the same #1. This does not interest me at all. But still I'll download the trial and base my judgment on gampeplay rather than a video.

That trailer looked like what a game trailer would look for a game back in that time.

I'm not gonna critisize you guys for your opinions.
Download the game and play it right now. Then form your opinion. Why wait for the live arcade version?
