DICE has announced a new Battlefield game in addition to the upcoming Battlefield 2142. Entitled Battlefield: Bad Company, the game promises to deliver a solid single player experience, something lacking in previous Battlefield titles. This single screenshot presumably shows off the bad company in question. DICE hopes to bring the "unpredictable nature of the sandbox experience" found in Battlefield multiplayer to the single player campaign of Bad Company.
Could this possibly breathe some new life into an arguably stale genre? We certainly hope so.

WOW, it's about time!!! I LOVE BFMC 2 on the 360 and play just about everyday, the only thing lacking is there has'nt been any NEW maps and it would be GREAT to have a NEW game to play over LIVE!!!

If you dig on the multiplayer FPS, then BF:Modern Combat is it on 360. It may not be as refined as COD, but there is nothing as open ended in play options as BF. I would love to see another BF game.

A battlefield game lacking a solid single player experience? Wow, really!? The Battlefield games (and by extension BF2:MC) excel at multiplayer killfests. It's the meat of the games, they do it well and it's why we love them. I guess we should applaud them for at least caring about the offline portion, but when I buy a battlefield game it's not for any single player experience. A fact many reviews of BF2:MC seemed to miss the point on.
For me this talk about great single player is nonsense. Refine what you already do well and do it even better ... or at the very least, make sure in all this hubbub over the single player experience than the multiplayer doesn't get the short end of the stick.

Simple Question... why not just port BF2... or the upcoming BF2124(?)?
I mean, if Halo 2 had one thing to prove, it's that Console owners love frag-fests as much as the pc gamers.
