EA dropped some new screens from Army of Two, its co-op centric shooter. The screens show off some amazing detail and even a few gameplay dynamics like parachutes, vehicles, and assisting a wounded teammate. Is it just us, or does this picture look like a CPR minigame? Keep your buddy from going into the light maybe? Hating on EA is somewhat de rigueur around here, but this game actually looks pretty good, and more co-op is always a good thing. Anyone excited for it?

EGM had an article on this game recently; I normally eschew anything from EA... but this game sounds great... and yes, that IS a CPR mini-game! A 2 player CPR mini-game!!!

Yeah, since Game Informer got the "exclusive" Kane and Lynch game, EGM got the "exclusive" Army of Two footage.
The EGM article talks about the running-from-the-light minigame, and that they use tampons to plug bullet wounds. Weird huh?
Yup, bring this game on.

Griping about EA aside, this game looks friggin' drop-dead holy-shit FTW kickass.
Every screen I've seen is a marked improvement even over the outstanding GRAW visuals, and simply the idea of an entire SP game meant to be played with your buddy (like the behemoth that will be Gears of War) has my mouth watering.
Add this to my must-have FPS list for the 360:
- Gears of War
- Rainbow Six Vegas
- F.E.A.R.
- Half Life 2: Ep 1&2
- Call of Duty 3
- Halo 3 (in 2008 ;) )

This game looks sweet, I love co-op multiplayer, and game looks to be the tits when it comes to that. Plus the graphics and gameplay look good. I wish gears of war had a co-op section like this, that would be sweet.

I really hope they allow for a horizontal split screen... I hate the virtical split that halo2 forces you to use unless you change the settings to 480p and 4:3 screen.

Next-gen Contra. That's actually a rather spiffy way of describing Army of Two. Now hopefully these minigames are intuitive and the gameplay is as easy to pick up as Contra.
Oh and not quite as difficult too. EA doesn't have a Konami code...
And if there was an EA Code, I'm sure all it would do is unlock the latest Fall Out Boy single on EA Trax for you to listen to while playing the game.
