Just after these things were all taken care of, here we go again with more completely unsubstantiated rumors. Found on a gaming forum (always a reliable source of information) the post goes on to say that an old "college roommate" hooked him up with some key details to the future of the Xbox 360. They are:
- "Sometime around november 2006, MS is launching a complete media service on the marketplace. This will range from 99 cent songs, to 3.99 streaming movies."
- "AT next E3, MS will announce a parternship with Blizzard that will bring World of Warcraft exclusively to 360."
- "Halo 3 will be out before X'mas 2006. Exact words were Quarter 4 of 2006."
- " There will be over 50 Sega dremcast games on the xbox live arcade within 2 years. Launched a handfull at a time, he said the first game will be Bonks adverture, which should be out in September 2006."
Regardless of the veracity of the claims, do you think Microsoft should be exploring these options? I think WoW on the 360 would definitely be a killer-app.

Bonk's Adventure? That game kicked ass! I had it for my Turbo-Grafx 16 back in the day. Wouldnt mind seeing that on XBLA.

Nice wishlist.
Am I right in thinking that there were rumors of Dreamcast-compatibility when the 1st Xbox was released?

Dreamcast games on the 360 would rock. It's still one of my favorite consoles of all time, with some of the best games ever released. Bring it on!!

Your comments: Now those are some cool ideas especially the sega dreamcast
games, my dreamcast died last week (she will be missed).Kinda strange I always thought of the Xbox as the DreamcastII.Hopefully all these rumors will prove to be true and we'll also receive the larger hdd
option(100GB please or at least 50GB) and I'll be a paying custumer
P.s.Wasn't Bonks adventure also available for the NES in 1993 by hudsonsoft...

Yeah, Blizzard are going all 'exclusive' with the 360 and WOW - somehow, I don't think blizzard are goind to give up 30,000,000 a month in subs from exsisting subscribers. I for one would love to see Dreamcast games on the 360 - Aerowings 1+2, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia, Crazy Taxi and Psyvariar, oh and of course ikaruga!

I think Nintendo will have a better time getting Sega to put their old games on the Rev. then MS will,.
I do think MS should add media to the 360, let me download ovies and music, but would that cut out the Direct TV thing they got going?

Bringing WoW to X360 exclusively doesn't mean that Blizzard would drop the PC market. I believe the rumor means that Blizzard would only bring Wow to X360 and not PS3 or revolution. Console exclusivity.
I think this rumor has some potential. And if not Wow, certainly, an new Blizzard product.

Technically, Bonk's Adventure wasn't just TG-16. It was ported to the GameBoy and NES, too.
And I'd LOVE to see it show up on Live Arcade! That and the whole TG-16 library (as long as the games were cheap).

The WoW thing might be just what MS needs. The great thing about WoW is that it's popular in the US, Europe, AND Asia (although I'm not sure about it's popularity in Japan specifically). The only problem I see is that if WoW on 360 was covered under the normal XBL fee ($50 a year) a lot of PC users might move over to 360 which would cannibalize Blizzards $15 a month subscription service. And if MS had to make up the difference, that might make it too pricey to be effective.
The Dreamcast games (and I would add to that Genesis games) would be awesome. I would pay $10 for online Powerstone 2. They would definitely have to release a bigger hard drive though. Even with compression I think you'd be hard pressed to get most DC games less than 500MB.

There is NO WAY dreamcast games will be on the nintendo, it has 512mb of space, 360 has 20gb. Think about it, if any console see's the dreamcast games, it will be 360.

Surely its more economical just to go out and buy a Dreamcast and buy some 2nd hand classics to go with it?
Rather than buying them online then wasting time downloading them! *lol*
Sod the Dreamcast... lets get some true classic Genesis/Megadrive/MasterSystem/Spectrum titles on there!
