X3F TV -- Points>Life: Perfecting Polarity
Each week, X3F tips gamers to the tricks of the trade of Achievement hording in Points>Life. Every week a new achievement is unlocked to help you continue your unhealthy obsession with the Xbox 360 meta-game.
This week marks our first venture into the XBLA points business with a tip that covers the recently released Ikaruga. Well, maybe tip is the wrong word. This week we're showing you the pattern to memorize that will help you get an A grade on the first level of the shoot-em-up.
This one isn't easy to get, but watch the tutorial and you should be chaining enemies in no time.

Heh, bragging rights to your friends... If I told even my nerdiest friends that I got a 10g achievement for Ikaruga, I think I would get a punch in the stomach -- and rightfully so.

That's not perfection. Right in the beginning, you shoot that "block" of little black and white dudes, then the three little white dudes come down from the right, AND if you did the intro quick enough, three little black dudes come down from the left.
The guy in the video wasn't quick enough and has 21 chain leaving the intro. He should have 22 chain leaving the intro.

Perfecting, as in - in progress.
If you download my 2.3 million point run saved film you'll see me doing exactly what you mention
Also, if you actually listen to the video then you'll hear me mention that I've left some enemies for fear of breaking my chain.
Thanks though, I guess.

Your voice creeps me out a little I guess because your so stern sounding...it's like I'm getting scolded for not getting an A ranking...hah!
Good video...a fun shooter even if I suck at it...it takes practice...
