We know
Halo 3 has commanded your attention since its release on Tuesday and we don't blame you, but if you're looking to switch things up this weekend then maybe the
Call of Duty 4 beta will fit the bill, because the level cap has been increased. This morning the
CoD 4 level cap has been increased from a max of 16 to 25 allowing beta participants to unlock new perks and some new weapons along the way. But if your goal is to experience everything rank 25 has to offer then you better drop
Halo 3 and get playing the beta, because the
CoD 4 fun ends this Sunday at midnight. Have fun fanboys, this is where you make the decision to stay a Spartan or become a modern day soldier.

COD 4 is way way better than Halo 3, and will be the game of the year, period.
Halo is over-rated.

damn, they should've raised the cap a week ago when i was still playing! but i must continue to devote my limited gaming time to halo 3. which, in my opinion, isn't overrated. it's weird how vitriolic bitterness flows in the face of something that gets (deserved) success..
with that said, i also love cod4, and will be picking it up when it drops..

COD4 is way better online than Halo 3. I'm sorry but the fanboys have to face facts that halo wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
On another note, the cap still hasn't been raised.

Halo 3 is a big bag of suck. Thank god for CoD4, I just don't know what I'm going to do for the month of October... Maybe I could get a life away from Xbox. Naaaaah.

Yeah the cap hasn't been raised, just thought about it earlier and tried to level up again just now and you still can't get that last 1 exp before level 17. I think the guys over at Infinity Ward forgot about it or over-looked the date because their lost in Halo 3 haha.
Halo 3 isn't the greatest but I hardly think COD 4 is any better, co-op campaign is a must for me and the multiplayer got a little stale in COD 4. Plus nothing pisses me off more than a game where you can detinate a non-volitile explosive like C-4 with a gunshot or grenade. You can literally burn C4 and nothing will happen, so no little spart from a bullet or shrapnel/flames from a grenade could set it off, but it could keep it from detinating.
There are also serious issues with headshot detection in COD4 (i.e. chest shots will count as headshots and headshots won't regester half the time). Then there's the little annoyance with the A button, seriously for the longest time I thought it was just the controller shorting out or the button being worn but the climb over feature needs work and when you're running only a little more than half of the time does the jump button work. Another rant is with that RPG... come on, just how modern is this warfare. We aren't fighting gooks anymore, even the terrorist we fight are better equiped than RPG's, not to mention there being cheaper and more reliable solutions to an RPG in modern times. The kill-cam defeats the purpose of a sniper or any sort of tactical manuvering/strategy, since the enemy can simply watch what you did. Why even bother with the guile suit and brush in the game when there is a kill-cam? For campaign you can keep it but needs to be tossed from MP. Why are we using archaic snipers from the early 90's to late 70's? US and the UK have made huge leaps in sniper development. One such sniper is new and about to be deployed for use in the middle east, made in the UK for the US. It is semi-automatice and doesn't lose any acuracy up to 2 miles, low muzzle flash and quiet enough to not alert your position, things not really done well by semi-autos before but the line between bolt-action quality and semi-auto has certainly been blured.
