Considering it has a transforming 360, it's no surprise that Transformers the movie will serve as inspiration for Transformers The Game. Activision has made a new fact sheet available for the game, revealing its features and platforms. The game is set to hit every console known to man, including our beloved 360. The game is being developed by Traveller's Tales, who recently made a splash with the LEGO Star Wars games. Transformers The Game will feature both Autobot and Decepticon campaigns, allowing players to choose good or evil, respectively. Player characters will be able to transform on the fly, offering various combat options. The environments are destructible and can also be used as weapons during combat. The fact sheet also mentions "head-to-head" battles though it is unclear if this refers to multiplayer or not. The game promises a huge lineup of playable characters including Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Barricade, and our personal favorite, Starscream.
Transformers The Game is currently scheduled for a summer 2007 release.

ewwwww!!!
I am completely and utterly angry at the whole transformers movie thing. I mean... in the first teaser... it's titled as "Transformers.... directed by michael bay". LIKE IT'S A GOOD THING!!!!
grrrr!!!!
I mean, I can understand if the character design doesn't adhere to the origional comics and cartoons. I'm not upset because this isn't the transformers I watched when I was a kid.
BUT COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE MAKE THE CHARACTERS NOT FUGLY!?!?
sorry for the rant :p
ps: to hell with the game.

I've gotta agree with aragorn about the movie/game looking like a craptastic combo. Honestly though, they shouldn't have changed the look of the robots much, and that's not just my childhood speaking. There are so many transforming robots these days, the only thing that makes Transformers unique is thier super-blocky early 80's design. These new modern for-tha-anime-kids style designs... suck. It's not like I was expecting good things from Michael Bay either... I just wish he wouldn't rape my childhood so hard.

Yay, Travelers Tales!!! And before "King Kong:longest name ever" I think studios are finally realizing that hiring a good developer for your game would make a good game. Licensed or not.
Unfortunately, I stil see a closed-minded patern.
A)King Kong, directed by Director/geek idol Peter Jackson.
B)Transformers... Uh, come on!
Anyay, thats 2 for a billion, which is better than nothing.
