New Hellboy footage, Ron Perlman is in

Konami released some new details about Hellboy today. Chief among these details is that Ron Perlman -- who played Hellboy in the 2004 movie -- will be reprising his role as Hellboy in all videogame versions of the franchise. With film director, Guillermo Del Toro (go see Pan's Labyrinth, now), and comic creator, Mike Mignola, on board, Hellboy should be quite a treat for fans when it arrives on the Xbox 360 this fall. The game has a combat system that sits somewhere between God of War and Devil May Cry with a deep grappling system to boot. Hellboy will also feature online co-op. As fans of Hellboy, we're looking forward to trying it out. Check out the latest gameplay footage after the break.

God of War 2 does this so much better. But yeah, everyone should go see Pan's Labyrinth.

I love Hellboy, unfortunetly this gameplay video makes the game seem generic, repetitive, and bland.

Looks like a good looking shitty game.
Repetitive in every single second of the gameplay videos and the gorilla fight looks so awesome, I want to puke right after watching it..

@6: Actually this game appears be based off the comic more than the movie. Hellboy in the game looks more like the comic rendition than Ron Perlman.

Regardless, it still looks like a pile. Crappy aiming system, no sight of any serious combat system. It's nothing more than a poor attempt at ripping off Devil May Cry.

and devil may cry wasn't Repetitive? all games are repetitive to a certain extent, heck even halo got repetitive, but it was still a great game, awesome even.

Also, you can't keep using the same old games based of movie/books suck. This game has some potential and besides it's not even finished yet.
