Shivering Isles takes place in (you guessed it) the Shivering Isles, a desolate (and apparently cold) land ruled by the god of dementia, Sheogorath (does dementia really need its own god?). Players must ultimately overcome Sheogorath and take control of the isles. An interesting note, the isles apparently take on visible changes based on the actions taken by the character. While it has not been officially announced for the 360, we can only assume the content will be made available when the PC expansion arrives (tentatively in Q2 2007). In the meantime, somebody get those isles a blanket!

WHOOOO!!!!
as much as I loved Nights of the Nine, it wasn't the expansion I thought it was. very fun, but also very short.
the game does need more. more landmass, more creatures. very much looking forward to this.

Anyone know if you start a new character or keep playing with your existing character in the expansion?

I never really had a problem with oblivion on 360 not having enough space. There is definitely enough places to go and things to do in the original title, but I feel that there is a very limited number of creatures to fight, and I would like to see many new species of animal for myself to brutally slaughter. Will the expansion give new creatures to not only the isles area, but also the entirety of Tamriel?

...The first expansion...a SHEOGORATH-CENTERED EXPANSION?! Woo!
I'm not all that thrilled about having to DEFEAT the guy, I'm rather fond of this particular Daedra Prince, but any new Sheogorath content is bound to be fun.

Mark: You can keep using your old character (on PC or even on your Xbox) if you want to, though you'll get a lot more time out of the game if you just start over.

Sadly i haven't been up to date with Oblivion and all the updates, i have played a bit on the 360 but thats about it. Crushing my expectation that it would be the next morrowind with large land mass's and a selection of enemey to kill. None the less its a great game all in its own and an expansion other than what downloadable content has already givin. Hopefuly this new land with bring to oblivion what was lacking somewhat in morrowind. even just putting more things to fight and find would be a upgrade for oblivion. Gess i should borrow my friends copy again and atleast beat it this time ;)
