TRMK.org, the sub-zero source for all things Mortal Kombat, has a major exclusive to kung fu kick off the month of Apri:
A fighting gamer's dream has come true as Capcom and Midway have announced a major blockbuster announcement. The two companies have agreed to partner together for Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat on Xbox Live Arcade! While Capcom is hard at work at bringing Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting to Xbox Live, Microsoft has acted as an intermediary in order to bring the two companies together to the negotiating table.
Sources deep within Microsoft inform me this game will be sold in a two pack with Barbie: Horse Rally.
Nice work on that screenshot.
[Thanks Patrick]
Update: Ryan points out that if I'm going to perpetuate annoying April Fools jokes, I should at least link to this Mortal Kombat vs. Streetfighter video.

This is why I haaaaate April Fool's. When I was a kid, I didn't get effected as much because maybe 1 or 2 friends would play tricks on me. BUT, thanks to the internet, everywhere I go I get tricked. I was 1 second away to sending this article to everyone in my address book, but then I saw the date. Thanks..I almost fell for it.

Wow really!?! I bet it'll be 10,000 points though. Maybe it'll require the HD-DVD drive to store all the fatalities and different versions of ken/ryu!

Exactly.. Posting this on April 1st (like the actual site did) would have made for a nice laugh, but posting it on the 2nd just makes you look like you were the last one "in" on the joke... Oh well.. "E" for effort like Cookie Monster always says..

At the very least, you could have linked to the Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter video that was made a while back. Now THAT is some fun stuff!
