Free fabric wall scroll with Ninja Gaiden II pre-order

Good news fanboys! Ninja Gaiden II pre-order offers are super plentiful! Between Circuit City offering a free Legendary Map Pack download code, HMV giving away MS points and Best Buy giving out a ninja wall cling, the pre-order bonuses just can't get any better ... or so we thought.

Behold Walmart's Ninja Gaiden II pre-order goodie, it's a wall scroll! You read correctly, Walmart is giving anyone who is willing to slap down a pre-order on Ninja Gaiden II an exclusive free 22"x32", fabric ninja themed wall scroll. And as any ninja in training knows, if you decorate your gaming sanctuary with a ninja wall scroll, you gain a significant boost to your ninja-cred. Now go, be as sneaky as a sneaky sneaker and get your pre-order on.

Wal-mart makes good on their pre-order flub

A followup to last week's Wal-mart video game pre-order deal that allowed customers to pre-order upcoming 360 games for $20-$40 off retail.

As we somewhat expected, the pricing for the game pre-orders was an error on Wal-marts behalf and not a day or two later they canceled EVERY order that included the cheap pre-orders stating it was an error on their behalf and that they were sorry, blah, blah, blah. So, this week, customers who felt their order shouldn't have been canceled must have sent out a barrage of complaints to Wal-mart, because Wal-mart actually made "right". Last night, Wal-mart sent out an email to EVERY customer who ordered one of the cheap pre-order games last week, apologizing for the inconvenience and offered up a $10 gift card. You know, as a "we fudged up, now leave us alone angry gamers" gift of peace. $10 gift card, nice!

Good job with the complaining fellow gamers and a good job goes to Wal-mart for admitting to their mistake and making an effort to clear things over. Next time, we won't be as forgiving ...

Wal-mart offering 360 pre-orders for the cheap! [update 2]

Update 2: Most games are gone, except for: Smash Court Tennis 3 ($39).

Seems like Wal-mart has either caught on to the pricing problem or games are selling out, because certain pre-orders are coming up as "Product Not Found!" errors. Though, some games are still available. Pre-order what you can, it's an online shopping frenzy!

Hurry fanboys! is either starting a new video game pre-order pricing policy or is having some serious pricing issues. Either way, everyone wins! Make like an antelope in heat (whatever that means?) over to's upcoming 360 games list. Once there, you can pre-order most upcoming 360 games for $20-$40 off of retail! We're for serious! Deals like getting Condemned 2 and Dark Sector for $19.82, Frontlines Fuel of War, Turok and LOST for $29.82 or The Club, Army of Two, Burnout Paradise and Devil May Cry 4 for $39.82. Again, these are pre-orders for the games and we have no idea why these are so cheap or if Wal-mart will even honor the prices. So, there's a metaphorical shake of the dice with these offers, but the savings alone may be worth a shot. Pre-order with reckless caution.

Come get your Halo 3 Legendary edition for $60

In an offer that can be filed under the holy-wowzaz-that's-clearance-priced-Mr.-Clearance-man file, Walmart is offering the Halo 3 Legendary edition for $59.82. Which is like half off of retail! The Legendary edition is available in-store or online where you'll have to pay shipping and tax. That is unless you use Walmart's "site to store" option where they ship it to your local Walmart of choice for free and all you have to do is pick it up. But that's the deal guys, $60 for Halo 3, the cat helmet and all the bonus content. We hear it makes the perfect holiday gift.

[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

Walmart's devious Guitar Hero III bundling

Warning future Guitar Hero III purchasers ... Walmart is evil. And yes, we know the word evil carries a lot of emotional weight behind it, but we're comfortable and confident in using such an adjective to describe Walmart seeing what they're doing with their Guitar Hero III bundles.

You see, Walmart somehow received an exclusive GHIII bundle from Activision in which they sell the game with old GHII guitar controllers. That means Xbox 360 owners who'd buy the bundle wouldn't get a wireless Les Gibson and instead get the corded Xplorer. A bundle that was never previously announced and smells of clearancing out old inventory. True, the bundled boxes specifically show which guitar is included in the box (like the picture above), but some may not notice the guitar switch or just aren't informed enough to know the difference. Talk about shady GHIII bundling practices Walmart ... we're disgusted.

Special Halo 3 checkout lanes at Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart, in their infinite wisdom and deep pocketbooks, is joining in on the Halo 3 midnight launch fun by offering plenty of copies of Halo 3, free Halo 3 branded dog tags and special Halo 3 checkout lanes. And no, we aren't kidding about the checkout lanes. According to's Halo 3 launch page, all Wal-Mart stores will be open at midnight on September 25th for the Halo 3 festivities with those special checkout lanes too. Hopefully they'll go the extra mile and decorate the checkouts in Halo 3 memorabilia, but then again this is Wal-Mart we are talking about. So, we're thinking the "special" Halo 3 checkouts will probably be nothing more than the electronics register being open at midnight. Oh well, Halo 3 midnight fun will be going down!

Buy a 360 at Wal-Mart, get a $50 gift card

Just a quick tip for holiday shoppers. If you buy a Premium 360 from Wal-Mart (in store only) you will receive a $50 gift card. This will come in handy if you'd like to get an actual game for your 360 recipient to play. Granted $50 dollars won't really get you many 360 games, but it will at least deal with the bulk of the price. Hey, it's no Micro Center $200 monster rebate, but at least it's instant. You'd better hurry, though, the offer is only valid through tomorrow, Sunday, December 10. Anybody else out there spot a killer deal on 360 systems, games, or accessories? Send us a tip and we'll post 'em.

Premium 360 bundles at Wal-Mart

Word on the street is that Wal-Mart is offering exclusive Xbox 360 premium consoles bundled with a free game for the same premium price of $399. The discount superstore is selling two bundles; one includes a free copy of MotoGP 06 and the other includes Burnout Revenge. The odd thing is my local Wal-Mart doesn't have these special bundles in stock, so can someone confirm that these are actually available?

[Thanks, Gregory C.]

12 months of live for 35 smackers is currently selling 12 month Live Gold subscription cards for the low price of $35.82. Usually priced at $49.99, the savings are fairly substantial. It's currently unknown if this offer is available in-store or only online. If anybody snaps one up, let us know how it went.
