Weekly Deals: Gears PC $15 and free tees galore

Update: Toys R Us has their own Force Unleashed offer, giving away a $20 gift card with an in-store purchase of the game. (Thanks Jonathan)

We're trying something different this week with our analysis of the week's best gaming deals. We're going to present them in one, long, run-on sentence that may or may not be readable. So, here we go ...

There's a free t-shirt with a Force Unleashed purchase at Best Buy and over at Circuit City they have a free t-shirt and $5 gift card with Force Unleashed, free t-shirt with Rock Band 2, 10% off all Rock Band accessories, Gears PC for $15, $5 off a 12-month Xbox Live subscription, and $10 off a wireless adapter which, again, are ALL deals at Circuit City with absolutely nothing going on at Target this week. PHEW! Deep breath and now it's time to pass out on the kitchen floor.

Deals: Free MS points with 360 purchase, $15 games and more

It's time to page through the weekly retail adds to uncover a few special Xbox 360 deals. And just in case you forgot, all Xbox 360 consoles have seen a price cut where Arcades are $199, 60GB Pros are $299 and 120GB Elites are $399. If you're going to take advantage of the new price cut, we advise heading over to Circuit City where they'll toss in a free 1600 Microsoft point card with any console purchase. They're also selling GRAW2, Saints Row and Dead Rising for $15 and giving away a free tshirt and $10 gift card with the purchase of Force Unleashed. Sadly, neither Best Buy or Target have any 360 deals worth mentioning. Then again, who needs 'em anyway? Happy spending!

Retailers clearance price 20GB Xbox 360s

With Microsoft's official confirmation of the Xbox 360 price cuts that puts Arcades at $199, 60GB Pros at $299 and 120GB Elites at $399, it looks like retailers are moving quickly to get the old Xbox 360 20GB models off their shelves by resorting to some old fashioned clearance pricing.

The recently discounted to $299 20GB Xbox 360 models are now showing up at retailers across North America at even lower price points due to the fact that the 60GB model also dropped its price to $299. Essentially making the 20GB a bad deal. As a result, Best Buy and Amazon.com are currently selling the 20GB 360 model for $259 while Futureshop in Canada has discounted the 20GB model to $199 and is bundling it with Gears of War and DOA: Xtreme 2. Happy shopping!

360 Deals: $5 gift card with Tiger Woods 09

Today is Sunday, which not only means we're less than twenty-four hours away from manic Monday, but it also means it's time for some Xbox 360 deal hunting. Sadly though, the deals available this week lead a lot to be desired.

At Best Buy, there are a few pre-order deals including a free Nuka Cola can opener with a Fallout 3 pre-order and a ringtone / poster kit with a Saints Row 2 pre-order, but that's about it. Really. Circuit City is giving away a free wireless controller with any Xbox 360 purchase and are also handing out $5 gift cards with the purchase of Tiger Woods 09. The usually video game friendly Target doesn't have a darn thing to offer us. Those are all the deals we could find which is sad really, so just move along ...

Dell now selling Xbox 360 Elite bundle for $349

If you missed out on Dell.com's last amazingly cheap Xbox 360 Elite bundle deal and are willing to pay $50 more, then we think we have the perfect deal for you.

For only $349 with free shipping, United States Dell.com purchasers can grab an Xbox 360 Elite bundle complete with the console itself, Forza 2, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and two additional faceplates. Though, to get the $349 pricing, you'll have to use a $100 off coupon code. To do this, simply head to Dell.com, click "Customize It", then click "Buy Now", then "Add to Shopping Cart". Now, once at the checkout screen, enter coupon code V8Q199$GCXJWL$ in the "Coupon Entry" field. Shazaam! The $449 price tag magically drops to $349. Note too that the coupon is only good through August 20th.

360 Deals: 1600 MS points for $15 and more

It's the week Xbox Live Arcade purchasers have been looking forward to, because Target stores are selling 1600 Microsoft points cards for the oh so nice price of $15. But that's not all, they also have CoD4, Battlefield: Bad Company or Army of Two for $50 and are also giving away $40 gift cards with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console and Madden 09. Best Buy has a similar deal, where if you buy an Xbox 360 console and Madden 09 they'll throw in a free wireless controller. Other than that and Turok for $30, Best Buy's 360 deals are kind of lacking this week. Over at Circuit City, they're selling CoD4 for $40, Gears of War for $30, Juiced for $15, and giving away a free mini football with Madden 09 or a free $5 gift card if you purchase Madden 09 online. Finally, Circuit City is handing out free $30 gift card with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console.

Happy shopping and be sure to stock up on those cheap Microsoft points, because as you're well aware, Castle Crashers is releasing soon!

Dell selling Xbox 360 Elite bundle for $299 [update]

Update: The Elite deal has since expired. Pricing for the bundle is back up to $449. Sad ...

Here's an Xbox 360 deal for you. In an offer that ends sometime this evening, Dell.com (The U.S. website) is selling brand new Xbox 360 Elite bundles which include both Forza 2 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance as well as both Carbon and Hotrod faceplates all for (get this) $299! That's a $150 savings off the retail price! We aren't sure exactly why these Elite bundles are so darn cheap, but if we had to guess, it'd be because of a little price cutting event that'll be happening next month. Hurry! Go grab a $299 Xbox 360 Elite bundle over at Dell.com before they're gone!

[Thanks, Voltron]

A sad and scarce Sunday deals roundup

ZOMG! There's deals to be dealt with, money to be saved, so why waste precious time, let's just get to it!

This week, over at Best Buy, they're offering RSV2 for $40, UT3, Quake Wars, Deadliest Catch (w00t!) and CoD4 GOTY for $50. And that's about it. Sadly, Circuit City doesn't have a darn thing to offer Xbox 360 fanboys either which is, uhh ... sad? Now that we look at it, Target stores don't even have any 360 deals, not a single copy of a game on sale. Another major bummer. You know, this has to be one of the worst Sunday deal roundups, like, EVAR! Who would have thought that getting RSV2 for $40 would be a deal highlight? Stupid retail conglomerates, don't you know that all we want is money savings on 360 games and don't care that you have popcorn makers on sale?

Deals time: Price cuts and cheap games, oh my!

Thanks to an official Xbox 360 20GB price cut announcement, we have a very special edition of our weekly deals roundup featuring cheaper hardware, cheaper games and money savings all around. Let's get to it.

This week, Best Buy has Xbox 360 20GB HDD consoles for $299 (obviously), is giving away $5 in concession cash and exclusive content with Space Chimps, selling Turok for $30 and, well, that's about it. Over at Circuit City, they're giving out a $30 gift card with the purchase of both a $299 Xbox 360 20GB HDD console and NCAA Football 09, a $10 gift card with the purchase of either GTAIV or Beijing Olympics 2008, a free plushy and with Kung Fu Panda ($40) and offering Space Chimps for $40 with $5 concession cash. Making our way over to Target, we find the best Xbox 360 console deal, which we actually knew about last week. They're giving away a free $25 gift card with the purchase of a $299 Xbox 360 20GB HDD console, so we advise making a stop at Target this week if you want the best "Jump In" deal. They are also giving out an eight pack of Coke Zero with the purchase of NCAA Football 09. Spend wisely and all that jazz ... happy shopping!

Hurry kids! GTAIV from Amazon for $45

Hop, skip or sprint over to Amazon.com's Gold Box deals page if you've been putting off a Grand Theft Auto IV purchase and feel the need to run over pedestrians, do drugs and have promiscuous "love making". Amazon.com's current Lightning Deal is non other than GTAIV where, for the next few hours or until supplies exhaust, they're selling the game for a rather satisfying $44.99 or another way to put it, 25% off retail. Pull out the plastic and get your buy on.

[Thanks, ThePhase]

Target to offer $25 gift card with $299 Xbox 360 Pro

Seeing that we're 99.89% sure an Xbox 360 Pro price cut is headed our way this weekend thanks to a flood of leaked retail ads smacking us in the face, one wouldn't be all that surprised to hear that Target is planning on selling the Xbox 360 Pro for $299. But one would be surprised to hear that Target is also throwing in a FREE $25 gift card on top of the deal, and that's exactly what they're doing.

According to an "alleged" ad-scan that was sent our way, beginning this Sunday, Target stores nationwide will be selling Xbox 360 20GB Pro consoles for $299 and tossing in a $25 Target gift card to sweeten the deal. So, if you, a friend or family member are in the market for a 360 and don't care about getting a 60GB HDD, then hit up Target next week. A cheap console and a free gift card sounds like major "good times" to us.

[Thanks, NeoRaiden]

Get your own Faith used Mirror's Edge runner bag

Mirror's Edge, that game that's all about first-first person action featuring the lovely main character Faith, will be hitting retailers this Fall and if you're willing to complete a pre-order, you can score some free runner bag swag.

GameStop is running (ha! running!) an exclusive pre-order promotion where all Mirror's Edge pre-orders will receive an exact replica of Faith's runner bag as seen in the game. The runner bag (pictured above), is a stylish banana yellow color, with seven different compartments and enough room to store and carry your Xbox 360 console. Just image how cool you'll look running down the streets, shopping at the mall, carrying your books to school or entering a business meeting with this Mirror's Edge bag. Just imagine!

Deals: $10 gift cards and Assassins for the cheap

This week at Circuit City, you can grab a few gift cards with your new video game purchases. Purchase either Unreal Tournament III or Beijing Olympics 2008 and get a free $10 gift card. If you're looking for new Xbox 360 Arcade hardware and are willing to purchase LEGO Indiana Jones as well, you'll be treated to a free $20 gift card. Their other deals include a free art poster with Civilization: Revolution and Assassin's Creed for the super low price of $30. Outside of Circuit City the deals are slim, but Best Buy is giving away a free eighteen month calendar with a SoulCalibur IV pre-order and Toys R Us is giving away a free $10 gift card with the purchase of a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith bundle or just the game (in store only). Now go fanboys, go and get your shop on.

Weekly deals: Free goodies with GH:Aerosmith

It's Sunday, it's time for a weekly deals roundup, so let's get to it.

This week, Best Buy has GRID on sale for $50, is giving away free movie cash with the purchase of Hellboy II or Wall-E and is giving out a free copy of the Aerosmith: Greatest Hits album with the purchase of ANY Guitar Hero: Aerosmith game or bundle. Circuit City has 4000 MS point cards for $45, LEGO Indiana Jones for $43, GTAIV for $55 and are giving away a free guitar strap with any Guitar Hero: Aerosmith purchase. Finally, just like Best Buy, Target is handing out a free copy of Aerosmith: Greatest Hits CD with any Guitar Hero: Aerosmith purchase. As always, feel free to share any deals or discounts you have to share in the comments below.

Hurry, snag a 360 Pro for $190

The folks at Stootsi.com have been known to offer some pretty good deals in the past but, frankly, this one takes the taco. What's the big deal? Today, Stootsi is offering 360 Pro consoles (you know, the one with a 20GB hard drive) for a mere $189.99. Throw in $6 for shipping and you've got a helluva deal. Now, before everyone runs off at once, you should know that the consoles being sold are refurbished, so buy at your own risk. They do come with a 60 day warranty, for what it's worth. We invite anyone that has bought from Stootsi before to share their experience in the comments.

Still ... 190 smackers? That's even cheaper than the rumored price cut.
