Weekly Deals: Software savings across the US of A

Looking for a few new titles to add to the collection? Various savings are sweeping the nation for a handful of random titles. Circuit City has slashed $20 off Unreal Tournament III to $39.99. Fry's has taken a few dollars off recent releases Pure and Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway both priced at $52.99. Best Buy is offering a $15 savings on Guitar Hero: Aerosmith which is down to $84.99 and now sells Hail to the Chimp for $19.99. Online shoppers looking for a deal and an Xbox 360 might want to check out Amazon who is bundling LEGO Batman with the Xbox 360 Arcade console for $199. Nothing too earth-shattering but a few bucks off couldn't hurt if you're pining for more titles to own.

Purchase Rock Band 2 at Circuit City, save $9810

If you're in the pre-order market for the Rock Band 2 bundle (which releases next month), then look no further than Circuit City. They're selling the entire Rock Band 2 bundle for the astonishingly low price of $189, which is $9810 off the game's regular $9999 price tag! With savings like this, you just can't go wrong.

[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

Weekly Deals: Gears PC $15 and free tees galore

Update: Toys R Us has their own Force Unleashed offer, giving away a $20 gift card with an in-store purchase of the game. (Thanks Jonathan)

We're trying something different this week with our analysis of the week's best gaming deals. We're going to present them in one, long, run-on sentence that may or may not be readable. So, here we go ...

There's a free t-shirt with a Force Unleashed purchase at Best Buy and over at Circuit City they have a free t-shirt and $5 gift card with Force Unleashed, free t-shirt with Rock Band 2, 10% off all Rock Band accessories, Gears PC for $15, $5 off a 12-month Xbox Live subscription, and $10 off a wireless adapter which, again, are ALL deals at Circuit City with absolutely nothing going on at Target this week. PHEW! Deep breath and now it's time to pass out on the kitchen floor.

Deals: Free MS points with 360 purchase, $15 games and more

It's time to page through the weekly retail adds to uncover a few special Xbox 360 deals. And just in case you forgot, all Xbox 360 consoles have seen a price cut where Arcades are $199, 60GB Pros are $299 and 120GB Elites are $399. If you're going to take advantage of the new price cut, we advise heading over to Circuit City where they'll toss in a free 1600 Microsoft point card with any console purchase. They're also selling GRAW2, Saints Row and Dead Rising for $15 and giving away a free tshirt and $10 gift card with the purchase of Force Unleashed. Sadly, neither Best Buy or Target have any 360 deals worth mentioning. Then again, who needs 'em anyway? Happy spending!

360 Deals: Toys R Us' Xbox 360 BOGO half off and more [update]

Update: In our deal excitement, we mistakenly informed everyone that Toys R Us was running a buy one get one free sale on all 360 games. Sadly, that isn't the case. It's actually a buy one get another HALF OFF sale. Our apologies, someone will be fired over this ... promise.

This week, the usually Xbox 360 deal-lacking Toys R Us stores are holding a pretty solid week long sale where, for their entire 360 catalog, they're holding a Buy 1 Get 1 half off sale. On their entire catalog! That's pretty dandy ... you know, just saying. Next up, at Circuit City, they have GH: Aerosmith (game only) for $50, GHIII (game only) for $40 and are giving away a $10 gift card with purchase of SoulCalibur IV. This week at Best Buy, they have Quake Wars for $40 as well as a pre-order offer for EndWar to receive a beta invite and a pre-order offer to receive Infinite Undiscovery foil packaging. That's it from Best Buy. Finally, Target's one 360 deal is a free The Force Unleashed wall graphic with pre-order. Happy shopping!

360 Deals: 1600 MS points for $15 and more

It's the week Xbox Live Arcade purchasers have been looking forward to, because Target stores are selling 1600 Microsoft points cards for the oh so nice price of $15. But that's not all, they also have CoD4, Battlefield: Bad Company or Army of Two for $50 and are also giving away $40 gift cards with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console and Madden 09. Best Buy has a similar deal, where if you buy an Xbox 360 console and Madden 09 they'll throw in a free wireless controller. Other than that and Turok for $30, Best Buy's 360 deals are kind of lacking this week. Over at Circuit City, they're selling CoD4 for $40, Gears of War for $30, Juiced for $15, and giving away a free mini football with Madden 09 or a free $5 gift card if you purchase Madden 09 online. Finally, Circuit City is handing out free $30 gift card with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console.

Happy shopping and be sure to stock up on those cheap Microsoft points, because as you're well aware, Castle Crashers is releasing soon!

Deals time: Price cuts and cheap games, oh my!

Thanks to an official Xbox 360 20GB price cut announcement, we have a very special edition of our weekly deals roundup featuring cheaper hardware, cheaper games and money savings all around. Let's get to it.

This week, Best Buy has Xbox 360 20GB HDD consoles for $299 (obviously), is giving away $5 in concession cash and exclusive content with Space Chimps, selling Turok for $30 and, well, that's about it. Over at Circuit City, they're giving out a $30 gift card with the purchase of both a $299 Xbox 360 20GB HDD console and NCAA Football 09, a $10 gift card with the purchase of either GTAIV or Beijing Olympics 2008, a free plushy and with Kung Fu Panda ($40) and offering Space Chimps for $40 with $5 concession cash. Making our way over to Target, we find the best Xbox 360 console deal, which we actually knew about last week. They're giving away a free $25 gift card with the purchase of a $299 Xbox 360 20GB HDD console, so we advise making a stop at Target this week if you want the best "Jump In" deal. They are also giving out an eight pack of Coke Zero with the purchase of NCAA Football 09. Spend wisely and all that jazz ... happy shopping!

Deals: $10 gift cards and Assassins for the cheap

This week at Circuit City, you can grab a few gift cards with your new video game purchases. Purchase either Unreal Tournament III or Beijing Olympics 2008 and get a free $10 gift card. If you're looking for new Xbox 360 Arcade hardware and are willing to purchase LEGO Indiana Jones as well, you'll be treated to a free $20 gift card. Their other deals include a free art poster with Civilization: Revolution and Assassin's Creed for the super low price of $30. Outside of Circuit City the deals are slim, but Best Buy is giving away a free eighteen month calendar with a SoulCalibur IV pre-order and Toys R Us is giving away a free $10 gift card with the purchase of a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith bundle or just the game (in store only). Now go fanboys, go and get your shop on.

Deals time: Alone in the Dark, Battlefield and more

It's Sunday and that means it's time to open up the newspaper and analyze those Sunday retail ads. Joy! And if you're in the market for Alone in the Dark this week, you're in luck, because there are numerous deals to be had. So, let's get to it ...

The only 360 deal Best Buy has going this week is a free $10 gift card with Alone in the Dark and, well ... that's it. Circuit City on the other hand is giving away a $10 J!nx gift card with Alone in the Dark, a free $10 gift card, weapon unlock code and grenade keychain with Battlefield: Bad Company, a free Hellboy II movie ticket with Hellboy: The Science of Evil, and either Bully: SE or SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 for $30. Also, if instant discounts are more your thing, Gamestop is offering Alone in the Dark for the discounted price of $50. Finally, (for our Canadian shoppers) Best Buy Canada is giving away Guitar Hero III with any Xbox 360 console purchase and either Shadowrun, Blue Dragon, Viva Pinata Party Animals or Project Sylpheed for $20. Enjoy Sunday and enjoy shopping.

Deals: Cheap MS points and get Mass Effect free

This week we're all business, because we have an overly long list of retail deals to ramble off. So, we'll forgo the fluffy intro and just get to it.

Starting with Best Buy, all this week they're giving away a copy of Call of Duty 3 with the purchase of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and a free $10 gift card with purchase of The Incredible Hulk. Best Buy also discounted a few accessories, offering the Messenger Kit for $20, Wireless Headset for $50 and Vision Camera for $30. Heading over to Circuit City, you can snag a free $10 gift card with the purchase of either NASCAR 09 or Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, get the Rock Band bundle for $155 and BioShock or Mass Effect for $32. They're also offering Burnout Paradise for $40, Frontlines: FoW or MX vs. ATV for $48, Need for Speed Carbon for $24 and our favorite CC deal of the week, 1600 Microsoft points for $15. Next up is Target, where they're giving away a FREE copy of Mass Effect with the purchase two of the listed Xbox 360 titles including Ninja Gaiden II ($60), RSV2 ($40), Scene It? ($50), Gears of War ($40), NASCAR 09 ($60) or Assassin's Creed ($40). And finally, because we love our Canadian readers so much, we hopped on over to Best Buy Canada and discovered they're offering two free games with any Xbox 360 console purchase (selection based on one of four game bundles) and a 12 Month Xbox Live subscription card for $50. Now run along and have a spectacular time shopping.

Deal time: CoD4 GOTY for $49, gift card with Narnia

It's Sunday deal time and this week U.S. retailers are being stingy lil' buggers when it comes to Xbox 360 savings. For serious. The only semi-good deals we could scrounge up were over at Circuit City who is selling the Call of Duty 4 Game of the Year edition for $50 and giving out a free $10 gift card with purchase of Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. And that's it. Seeing that the good deals Stateside aren't as fruitful as we expected, we took our research up north and discovered that this week Best Buy Canada is offering The Darkness for $20 and both GRAW2 and RSV for teh free with an Xbox 360 Pro purchase. That's all we could find, now go be good citizens and spend your bi-weekly check on gaming related goods to help stimulate the economy. God knows it needs it.

Buy Iron Man, score a free gift card

Thanks to Iron Man cleaning up at the box office this weekend (an estimated $100 million weekend), we're sure sales of the Iron Man video game will also be rather high. And even though we can't guarantee the game will equal that of the movies' enjoyment, we can guarantee your Iron Man video game purchase will score you a free gift card.

Over at Circuit City and Best Buy, you can score a $10 gift card with the purchase of Iron Man for the Xbox 360. Not too shabby of a deal, especially if you are or know someone who is a gamer hell bent on owning everything Iron Man after experiencing Iron Man excitement at the box office. Just be careful with your purchase.

Rock Band for $149 and other deals too

For those about to jump into the Rock Band mosh pit in preparation for tomorrow's Judas Priest album release, we came across a money saving deal over at Circuit City this week. For a cool $149 (that's $20 off of retail) you can grab the entire Rock Band bundle and be one step closer to becoming a rockstar like in your dreams. Not feeling the Rock Band or already own it? How about heading to Best Buy to pickup BioShock for $39, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for $39 or NBA Live 08 $29. Still not satisfied? Then do your own deal hunting, report back here and inform the masses about your oh so special money saving deals. It'll make you and your fellow fanboys smile from ear to ear.

A few random Sunday gaming deals

There isn't anything too special about this week as it pertains to video game deals, but we came across a handful of discounts and offers on older titles that you may enjoy. So, in the best interest of your pocketbook, let the deals begin ...

This week, Circuit City discounted TimeShift, The Simpsons Game and NBA Live 08 to a rather nice $29. Best Buy has Halo 3 for $39, College Hoops 2K8 for $29 and this week Best Buy Canada has taken $10 off of their Rock Band Special Edition bundle dropping it to $169. Finally, the big red bullseye retail chain (that's Target) is offering the Guitar Hero III bundle for $88.

Like we said, nothing here is overly special or stands out, but if you're in the market for any of these gaming gems then at least you know where to go this week for a cheaper purchase.

Rock Band bundle and 1600 MS points for $153

Our weekly deal searching mission never ends as we just came across a limited Rock Band bundle offer over at Circuit City for gamers who are looking to finally jump into the rockstar lifestyle. But you must hurry, this offer ends today.

Online, over at CircuitCity.com, they are offering the Xbox 360 Rock Band Special Edition bundle for $169 and are including a 1600 Microsoft points card for FREE. 1600 points that will help kick-start your DLC music library. All you have to do to get the free points is to add this special product bundle to your cart and it'll deduct $10 from both the Rock Band bundle and MS points which ultimately makes the points free. But wait, the deal gets sweeter! Valid only through today, you can take an additional 10% off your order! While checking out and choosing either in-store pickup or free shipping, add coupon code MCA2T22A9U to your order. The final total for your Rock Band bundle and 1600 Microsoft points should end up being $152.99 pending additional tax charges. This is a great offer for those who were impressed by the Amazon.com deal, but also want some cheap MS points and want to start rocking out today using the in-store pickup option.
