Fable II players report game breaking glitch

Another glitch discovered in the game causes those who take one of their heroes into co-op with another player starting a new game. Apparently, when leaving childhood, all experience and gold will be wiped from the co-op character. Lionhead hopes to address this glitch in a title update, but advises players to only play co-op after the childhood stage has been completed.

Industry vets sound off on sex, violence, ratings and design

Over the past few months the team at the content knowledge site What They Play have interviewed each of the creators for their distinctive views on the sex, violence, ratings and design in videogames.
"If the blood is graphic, exploding out and all over the screen, you instantly know you're successful. I'd use flowers and confetti but I don't think it would be nearly as effective," Bleszinski said of the violence level found in the upcoming Gears of War 2. "You know, there's a huge M on the freaking box. If your eight year-old kids can acquire $60 and you're not aware what they're doing with it, you've got bigger problems than your kid playing God of War. You're a sh*tty parent," adds Jaffe.
BioWare president Greg Zeschuk, whose 2007 role-playing title Mass Effect was lambasted by the mainstream media for its sexual content, pointed out how our society is dictating content. "It's all obviously a reflection on society," says Zeschuk. "The bottom line is that violence is just more acceptable than sexual content in the U.S., which makes an interesting situation for game developers. You have to really balance these tolerances."

In addition to its law abiding populous, Albion is home to all manners of beasts, spirits, and, well, less than law abiding citizens. To this end we provide The Albion Bestiary Compendium. No adventurer should leave home without it!

Pirates raid Xbox release calendar, leak Gears 2 & Fallout 3 among others

All we can do is sit back and hope that they'll trip up and attempt to connect to live and Microsoft initiates "Operation Red Ring of Death" on their disrespectful butts. But, it's cool. We'll buy it and play it legit because we're real gamers and real gamers respect the games we want by throwing down hard earned cash. So, what does that make pirates? Infinitely worse than ninjas. It's a loser by association thing.
Note: We will not post links to these available downloads and any user who attempts to in the comments (or post spoilers) will have their comment deleted and find themselves served with a hefty banhammer.

Fable II: A Guided Tour of Albion

Fable II Collector's Edition may have missing DLC code

A GameStop source told Joystiq that a company wide email notes that cases bearing an orange "48 hours of LIVE"' sticker include the DLC code, but copies without the sticker do not.
Allegedly customers are being directed by GameStop to the Xbox Support phone line (1-800-4MYXBOX) if their Collector's Edition does not include the code -- which Joystiq confirmed with a phone call to Xbox Support as the current course of action for the situation. The anticipated role-playing game from Lionhead Studios releases for the Xbox 360 today.

Review: Fable II
During the 15.78 hours I've played Fable II (which the game measures out as 56,796 seconds) I have earned 987,502 experience, completed 13 quests, dispatched 28 trash-talking gargoyles, opened 1 demon door, bought 14 buildings (3 houses, 11 shops), shot 11 enemies in the groin, acquired 4 scars, and -- because I finally felt like getting around to it -- saved the kingdom of Albion from a particularly evil doom. The story begins much earlier than all of that, of course, in the kingdom of Albion, in the streets of Bowerstone Old Town, where Rose and her sibling, known to her as 'Sparrow,' dream of a better life.
