Lenovo ThinkPad X200 tablet goes on sale {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2008 5:41PM Yeah - and the order system is FUCKED UP.

1) Can't order Vista Business 64 and a SSD
2) Can't order Turbo Memory and a SSD
3) Can't order extended warranties
4) No discount if purchased through educational store

Furthermore, I hear reports of people who, when trying to checkout, encounter expiration problems i.e. "error has happened in processing your order".

Pretec breaks records, banks with 100GB, 64GB, and ultra-fast 32GB CF cards {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2008 2:42AM "chump change, right?"

Hells yeah, for professional sports photographers. Those guys EASILY spend tens of thousands of dollars on their lenses and camera bodies - and having a faster CF card, you'll be able to take more shots in one go with rapid shooting - also useful for wedding photographers or any other photographer who needs to photograph something that's not going to happen again; i.e. cannot be reposed, like the touchdown or the first kiss as man and wife.

Sep 21st 2008 11:14AM +1.... L4D is GOTY for sure. People are going to be disappointed with gears 2 I think especially the multiplayer, and rock band 2 was basically just a hell of a lot of DLC. What else is there really?

Apple iPod touch 2G and nano 4G: The Engadget Review {Engadget}

Sep 21st 2008 1:54AM All I know is, I got a little application called Stanza that lets me download all these old classic eBooks FOR FREE (the works are either released under things like Creative Commons or the copyrights are expired) - like, Orwellian classics like 1984, Dickens, Shakespeare, Jane Austen.... I got a veritable library, again, FREE, and it all downloads in seconds. Like having a $400 Kindle (slightly less readable, but you can increase text size, line spacing, margins, change the font...), but in my phone. OK? Did I mention that all these classics are FREE, just like they should be (going to the bookstore and paying for paper copies SUCKS, driving to the library and back to return the books SUCKS...)

Then there are games like Trism which are truly great games that the DS and PSP have NOTHING on. The games are either free or incredibly cheap, much cheaper than DS or PSP games.

Oh yeah and you can literally downloads loads and loads of apps and almost never run out of room, even on a 8 GB device, because the apps are small enough to usually download over ATT's EDGE network.

The iPod Touch would be worth it even if purely for the App Store. The fact that you also get a web browser, music player.... I mean come on people it's pretty damn awesome.
