Update: It should also be noted that, today, Harmonix will be emailing codes to download the 20 free songs as part of the Rock Band 2 setlist. Thanks
It's Rock Band downloadable content Tuesday, which means all that musical DLC that we heard about last Friday is now purchasable off the Xbox Live Marketplace. If you're clueless to what the DLC is, just know it's new (and value priced) music from both Hinder and Fall Out Boy as well as a three song track pack from the Presidents of the U.S.A. Point your clicking arrow towards the break for a complete listing of today's new Rock Band DLC.

Not this week. Maybe next. When will we get Stevie Ray Vaughn? Come-on, Texas Flood is amazing.

Ok I am on the fence on whether to get Rock Band or Guitar Hero. My girlfriend prefers the GH guitar, but I heard the drums from GH:WT are not that great. So I think it will come down to song selection. Which has more songs to pick from? Anyone know a site with complete song lists for both games? I'm pretty sure Rock Band is pumping out more songs but others have said Guitar Hero has more.
Advice?

More songs for RB. I have 442 as of right now and that's without the 20 free DLC. The GH guitar also works with RB.

I personally hugely prefer the GH:WT song list but it's each to their own.

I too prefer the GH guitar, but enjoy Rock Band's list of songs.
RB has shown evidence that they will continue to distribute new content in the form of minimum 3 songs a week. GH doesn't have that track record. They might with WT but they don't at the moment.
My $.02

i just got guitar hero: world tour over the weekend and i have to disagree about the drums. they're definitely way, way better than rock band drums. Playing with cymbals really adds a lot in my opinion. Same with the guitar.
Then again, I hope you're not too excited about the music studio. As a piano player for 8 years and a guitar player for 4 years who understands music theory pretty well i have say the music studio in GH makes no fucking sense. Not only that, but every time you play the same note it uses the same sample so it doesn't sound very good.
Since i like the set list on Rock Band 2 more I think i'll probably get it sometime early next year since the instruments are compatible (although i heard people were having trouble with it on the PS3). If you have the cash i would recommend doing the same since the peripherals really are better in GH.

with all the trash on Rockband and Guitar Hero, it wouldn't surprise me if the filled it with that rap garbage.

Aww... GH:WT has 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins. Need that one on Rock Band something fierce, since I won't be ever spending the money on GH:WT.

No you had to go online and put that code on the back of the book into their website and then they will e-mail you a redemption code.

They are sending out the 20 free songs today? I just now got Issue 6 of the Rock Band Community Zine and it claims those are going out next week.
Maybe I got the e-mail really late, though lol.
