There is no specific date announced for the game, though the article does use the phrase "in the months to come," so we're hopeful that the game will release before the year is out.

This is actually coming out with the release of the new Xbox experience since it is an "XNA" game, so it will probably be out on Nov 19th.

I wonder if the phantom guitar will be fun/challenging. Here's to hoping it's more than a gimmick.

Meh. I had the opportunity to play a level of the game when it was shown at GameFest, and let me say this: "The Dishwasher" is no "Braid" or "Cave Story". The Dishwasher's claim to fame is that it was one of the first decent games created using XNA Studio Express (and kudos to the creator for that technical accomplishment), but if you ignore the back story, the game itself is just a generic side-scrolling beat 'em up.

It sounds like you may have missed it, but there was actually an XNA Community games preview a while back. There was a Dishwasher demo available, as well as a few others. For an incomplete game, I thought it was cool. It definitely isn't Castlevania, but we've yet to see the complete game in action. Who knows what new options come up as you play it through to the end.
