This week, there is a lot of Xbox 360 new game release deals. So much so, that we'll forgo an overly long intro and just get right to it. So ...
Best Buy is giving out a free beanie hat with purchase of Guitar Hero World Tour, selling Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway for $40 and offering Blitz II for $50. Target stores only have one good deal and that's a free $25 gift card with purchase of an Xbox 360 Arcade console. Circuit City is dishing out the gift cards (as has become the norm), giving away a free $10 gift card with purchase of Fable II, Golden Axe, Far Cry 2, Dead Space, Saints Row 2, and Hell's Highway. You can score a free $10 gift card and mini strategy guide with purchase of Fallout 3 (CE), a free $15 iTunes gift card with purchase of Guitar Hero World Tour and a free t-shirt with Legendary. Phew ... happy shopping!

Is the new Guitar Hero guitar worth spending the extra $40 for? I have my Les Paul from GH3 and it still works great.

NO! do not buy the new GH instruments. there are hundreds of reports of failing instruments, and i can vouch. i went to midnight launch with my friend, got the band kit, hooked everything up, and the guitar didnt register notes, had a un responsive touch pad, and the drums were not hitting correctly. buy the game only and stay away from the insturments.

I have the GH3 Les Paul and it doesn't register notes properly... I'm surprised they haven't fixed this issue.

dunnypo, do you mean your guitar is faulty or the game isnt working right with the old guitar?

I want the new Guitar Hero, but I also don't want to pay $190... I assume the Drums aren't sold separately yet? Plus, I'm not sure how many more plastic instruments my living room can handle...

Fallout 3 plus 10 dollars in store credit? I could use that to get gears 2 for like 50 bucks next month! sweet!

X3F can you do a comparison on the drum sets from Rock Band & GH: World Tour please? Or at least point us in the direction of a good comparison that's been done. I want to see which is better before going out & buying one.
Thanks!

Well, I guess this is compatability, I mean, not how good is each one. The goodness is highly opinionated. I like the original GH2 guitar and hate the RB one, even the GH3 one, so you actually need to try them out, like at friends houses or at the store.

Got Guitar Hero World Tour from CC today. I don't know about you guys but I don't really care for my CC that much they never have anything in order well and everything is messy around there. They did not even have Guitar Hero World Tour in the games section you had to go to the front and ask for it. From the looks of it they had very few copies to maybe around 10 of each version. To top it all off they would not take my fuc*ing $5 of $50 coupon off on it and that really pissed me off didn't feel like fighting it though (I was in a hurry). If I have to go there again I am going to make sure to just do in store pickup and skip the BS they do.
Guitar Hero World Tour is OK, like IGN said in there review Rock Band is ahead and better than it but its not that bad DLC for Guitar Hero World Tour will make or break it.

Time to test out Amazon's Release Date Delivery program on Fallout 3. If it actually arrives on Tuesday it is worth it since the charge of $5.98 for Release Date Delivery is the same as paying the tax at retail.
