As is customary every week, the Gamerscore Blog crew just highlighted a New Xbox Experience feature to show off and this week they're talking Netflix and the new and improved Video Marketplace.
Their informative NXE blurb doesn't inform us of anything excitingly new, but does reinforce the fact that 10,000 Netflix videos will be available for streaming to unlimited rental Netflix subscribers and that 20,000 pieces of XBVM content is available as well. Check out the NXE screen grabs below and keep those NXE preview fingers crossed.

so is that middle screen shot just to show the difference of what the video marketplace looks like now nad what it will look like? or is the video marketplace actually going to look the same on the nxe? that would be kinda annoying if it was the same....

The download service is free with most (all?) netflix subscriptions. I don't know if you can just get the download service.

unlimted online viewing comes with all netflix subscriptions except the very lowest one. the very lowest one ($4.99/month) gets 2 hours per month. you would want to get the $8.99 a month subscription.

hmm...it seems that the selection is alot lower than 100,000 for streaming vids. like 12,000. Plus you need a Gold account still. Seems like a good thing tho, just could be better I think.

Don't count on it. We ALWAYS get shafted.
Especially on prices.
Oh, and Broadband. I live in an area where the phone lines can only take 1MB. I'm paying for 2. Arse.

Yeah, the Netflix streaming selection is pretty poor at the moment, but I believe there are big improvements on the way. That said, there's some Tom Baker-era Dr. Who on there -- it's not all worthless :)

So will the horribly awfully slow LIVE download speed still apply to Netflix stuff? I never do the Video Marketplace stuff but getting demos and trailers is just poor...
