Perhaps World Tour will be the first Guitar Hero with decent DLC and frequent updates. I doubt it will ever reach Rock Band though...

I am sort of relieved that none of these are actually songs I want!

No kidding. I'm a big Rock Band fan, and part of that is because the GH DLC never excites me. I'm more interested in having fun instead of being some über-elite fake instrument player.

If you think Hot Blooded will be a no-fun ball buster, then you must be deaf.
Check it and see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp_zAyBrgS8
Fever, hundred and three, etc.
(although you have most likely heard the song by now, I hope, anyway.)

I'd like the R.E.M. songs to show up as Rock Band 2 DLC in the near future. They're great songs.
Hot Blooded would be fun for a laugh, I would think.

On another note, anybody have any problems with Live? I can sign in but cannot add my subscription codes or download anything at all, says I cannot reach live, plus I cannot sign in to xbox.com. Anybody else with that problem? I cannot post in the forums either as I cannot log into xbox.com.

I am buying GH World Tour..... but I probably won't buy any DLC. I already have lots of Rock Band DLC, and I am confident that Rock Band DLC will continue to work through future iterations of the game. GHWT? I am not sure, and I am not going to spend the money in the hope that it will.
I am looking forward to GHWT, but they are lucky they made it compatible with the RB instruments, because I wouldn't have bought it at all otherwise.

hmmm i am still on the fence whether i am getting this game or not. i already have rock band 2 but i want this as well. i'm thinking about getting this game and just the guitar since it has that sweet touch pad on the neck. does anyone have the rock band 2 guitar and can comment on how it is compared to the rock band 1 guitar? thanks!

The Rock Band 2 guitar is great! The strum bar is not mushy like the previous version, has a very short throw distance and light touch to strum. The main frets are a little to stiff for my liking, but the clackity clack that the RB1 guitars seemed to suffer from is not nearly as bad. I have only started messing with the little solo fret buttons, no complaints other than I wish they were a little wider.
Since switching to the RB2 strat from the GH3 Les Paul, my percentages have gone up by about 2-3%. Probably will go up even more once I get the hang of the solo buttons.

thanks for that great review. that was pretty much everything i was concerned about with the rock band 1 guitar. i actually don't even have it but have tried many times at different friend's houses and it was the same stuff that was really annoying. i too have the wireless gh3 les paul guitar and was going to keep that and just get the rock band 2 wireless guitar as a second guitar. thanks for the help.

No, I have a rule in my house to not send any money the way of MTV. This unfortunately requires me to also never buy anything from Comedy Central, etc etc, all owned by the same company.

That's a stupid rule.
I hate MTV and all as much as the next guy, but for Rock Band, its worth it.
It's not like Guitar Hero is owned by any more of a sell out of a company than Rock Band is, anyways...

Only reason I ever got Guitar Hero was for my lady. I don't care for music games so no skin off my back haha. Fuck their stuidos. I want holywood to stay out of my games.
