DLC = Down-Loadable Content
I really hate it when they screw you over with all these redokulous micro-transactions.

Back in the day these features would have been included in the game. Ofcourse the whole game would have costed $60 - $80 dollars, so yea.
Bring on the DLC.

Wow...this just reminds me why Capcom drives me up the wall. They milk everything for every last drop. The game hasn't even been out for a week and they already have lovely DLC for it...I won't buy it. It's BS, a character and mode that should have just been in the game upon launch, but left out just to pad their pockets.

Incidentally, if Xav de Matos is reading this, I'm still working on getting that hat. It's hard to get around when you live on-campus and don't have a car.
I mean, you'd think the feeling of betrayal from Capcom after I put so much faith into them not doing this sort of bullcamomille would be punishment enough, but I'm a man of my word.

I bought Mega Man 9 last wednesday. Love the game, it really fits the retro-game bill...
But c'mon Capcom. You could have very well included Proto Man and the other stuff last week. I'm not falling for this robbery of my hard earned Microsoft Bucks :P

I think this game will be about 18 bucks after all the DLC. Just imagine if MM9 takes the same path as Ace Combat.

Why should the ability to play as Proto Man and an "Endless Attack" mode have been included in Mega Man 9 when such modes have never been included in any Mega Man game? At best, it's extra frosting on an already uncommonly good cake, and easily beats the shit out of any similarly priced games on XBLA.
That said, I'm not interested in Proto Man or the new mode.

Alright, let's say that they release, let's say, Casablanca on Blu-Ray. And despite the fact that modern DVDs and Blu-Ray discs almost always come with some kind of extras, this one doesn't. But hey, Casablanca didn't have extra footage or documentary footage when it released in the theatre, so it's no big deal, right? Sure, the DVD version did have that stuff, but the Blu-Ray version is totally restored and faithful to the original, so it's fine.
OH, but wait, with the brand new Blu-Ray player technology, they can sell you a 20-minute series of interviews with the cast and crew, and an extra commentary audio track, for $5 each. They had it the whole time, they just didn't put it on the disc and include it with the original $30 price tag.
But, hey, there's nothing to say companies CAN'T operate that way, so obviously they SHOULD.

Don't buy the game, and certainly don't buy the DLC. Maybe being one of the least successful arcade games, Capcom won't be so silly next time they give you a game.

QQ more about the DLC.
If you don't want the extra features, don't buy them. They shouldn't have been included in the game, because they aren't vital to the game itself. Paying only $10 is a steal for a game of this caliber, as are the low prices of the DLC. To get everything it would cost $18, which is still an extremely low price. The game could have easily cost twice that much and still have been worth it.
People will pay $60 for crap, but complain about this and games like Braid costing a quarter or less of that price.
DLC has always offered ways to add to the replay value and the game itself for a very low price. If you don't like it, just QQ more while the rest of us enjoy these new modes.

Big deal, guys. It's ten bucks for a completely original game. The prices on XBLA are ridiculously low considering how much money is invested into development. I can't blame capcom for doing this. Arcade games just don't make the bucks. They couldn't price it at 15 dollars, nobody would buy it. At least they were nice enough to release the DLC now instead of a few months later.

Remember when a good SNES game cost 50-60 bucks, and you, at 11 years old, had to save up for months just to afford it? Oh how spoiled we've gotten.
