He's baaaaaack! The Superintendent has once again graced Bungie.net with his plumbing presence warning Halo fanboys to "KEEP IT CLEAN!" You know, because he's the Superintendent and he says so.
If you recall (more info here), Bungie's little green box known as the Superintendent made his presence known during E3 when it became pretty clear he was somehow tied to Bungie's next big project reveal. Sadly, politics happened and Bungie didn't get to announce their project and the Superintendent went into hibernation. But now he's back and with Bungie's Weekly Update hinting that "the night is darkest just before the dawn" and that "dawn is about to break", we have a hunch that the BIG Bungie announcement is coming soon. In the meantime, please, keep it clean.
[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

Do you guys think the "\ RECEPIENT: PROWLER “TOKYO RULES” [COMM.DUTY.OFFICER]" line hints an announcement at TGS08 in october?

"Tokyo Rules" is a UNSC Prowler, there's a duty officer on board communicating with the Superindendent.

I'm confused. If it is, indeed, a new map pack or expansion pack, what the heck does "Keep It Clean" have to do with that? Every time I read that saying, the only thing that comes to mind is to keep the language and behavior clean within the game environment.

I'm doubting they would do this for a new map pack or an expansion pack. This has to be their next game and I get the feeling it is a game set in the Halo universe but having nothing to do with Master Chief.

This better be a new game and not some over priced crappy map pack after all this hype.

who knows what the announcement is going to be. My guess is a new game. Halo in my opinion is getting tired.

Considering the top line reads: UNSC OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE. Its safe to assume its Halo related.
Lets hope something actually gets announced this time, instead of creating needless hype.

My guess is they will give more details about the new banning system. 'Keep it clean' sounds like they want Halo 3 to be fair and no cheaters, they want it clean. But these 'details' will be very shocking to the halo community hence the hype.
I hope I'm wrong :P. But they better say something quick because I'm getting pissed off at waiting. Maybe something will get said on the 23rd, when the update and new banning system is meant to be released?
oh hang on, maybe they are just hyping up the 23rd considering the banning system will get actived on then.

Well, I played Halo 1 again the other day, and i noticed on the walls on the first level and that there are posters that say "Keep It Clean". Not sure what to make of it tho. Like, by saying that for their next project, does that hint where they are going?

Yeah this Superintendent seems to have lots of Halo 1 related quotes, for example one of the old wallpapers when he first came around was 'Hitchhikers may be escaping convicts' which was a Halo 1 Mission...

Hm... maybe a Halo and Halo 2 rerelease using the Halo 3 physics and graphics engines? That could certainly be interesting...

Is the Superintendent actually Harvey Dent? The so called "White Knight" of Gotham?

It's not a Halo 1 and 2 rerelease and I'll tell you why. Just ask yourself, why would they do that when we have Halo 3, the third and final game in the trilogy. Halo 1 and 2 are a part of the past now, we won't be seeing these rereleased until the time Halo 3 is ready to be rereleased. Which probably won't be for a long time.
