With Treyarch's
Call of Duty: World at War still a ways off, we're already talking about
Call of Duty 6. IGN has confirmed that Infinity Ward -- most recently behind
Call of Duty 4 -- will once again take up the reigns for the sixth installment in the series. IGN speculates that
Call of Duty 6 is
not the Infinity Ward sci-fi shooter that was
rumored earlier this year, though there is no way to be certain. Whatever the setting, we're sure fans will be excited to see what Infinity Ward has in store.
And now, to close this post, allow us to make some predictions. One,
Call of Duty 6 will release in time for the holiday season 2009. Two, Treyarch will be behind
Call of Duty 7 and, furthermore,
Call of Duty 7 will release in time for the holiday season 2010.

Well I get excited about this but thats kinda a long way off for me. At lest Infinity Ward is making it so we already know it won't be craptacular.
Hey X3F, just wanted to let you guys know that I love your site. I've been reading for about one year now and have been impressed by the speed you put up breaking news.

Why the hate for Treyarch? 4 player co-op, using the COD4 engine, set in the pacific... Why not?! 3 wasn't that bad even though people seem to like to complain about it...

well because infinity ward took the franchise two steps forward. treyarch is taking it 4 steps backwards. one of the most cited pluses in the reviews was the modern setting. so why remove the modern setting? hmm...

I predict I'll pickup COD5, play the campaign in co-op, play online multiplayer for five minutes, and jump back into COD4.
I'll also predict COD 13 will be multiplatform.

your title is wrong. Infinity Ward is going to be doing CoD 5.
Treyarch is doing CoD: World at War not CoD5.
see- Silent Hill: Homecoming and how it was changed from being called SH5.

Do the CoD fanboys really need a new release of CoD soon after the previous release? We were happy chaps loving Halo 2 for years, and I'd be content with sticking with Halo 3 for just as long.

I bet those that are hating on World At War never even played CoD 3. You don't get an opinion until you've played it and confirmed that it sucked. I guess I should have learned my lesson about the internet now.

We already knew this months ago? How many times does the fact the Treyarch and IW are making alterating COD games have to be a headline?

They should've stopped after Call of Duty 2. That was the last good Call of Duty game.

Actually Ryan, I think COD WAW is COD 5 so IW is making COD 6.
