Gamerscore Blog has posted an update regarding how games played are viewed in the New Xbox Experience. In the screenshot above, you can see that The traditional Gamercard and options are in the front, while all the games played on a profile fan off to the right. Every game played on a given profile will have its own card (three cards for the three games played in this example) that displays the achievements earned so far. Also included on each card are two progress bars that display how many points and achievements you've earned versus the total amount available (that's going to make us feel a lot better about our gamerscore). Pretty decent additions if you ask us.
This is part one of a series of posts that Gamerscore Blog will be doing on the New Xbox Experience as it gets closer to launch. Rest assured we'll keep our eyes open for future updates. Check out a hi-res version of the screenshot in the gallery below.

No cause the xbox is using the emulation software and can't use the 360 features.

Yeah, the 360, almost seems to reboot and load a dif OS from what I can tell when you play Fatbox games from disc.. Not sure if its the same for Downloads..

Xbox Originals is essentially the same thing as putting the disc in, which in turn is pretty much the same thing as turning on your Xbox 1.
The Guide will say 'not available' if pressed during a Xbox 1 game, and you won't be online unless you are for that XB1 game.
The only thing is, if you start a custom soundtrack in the dash, it'll continue to play in your Xbox 1 game.

I'm with you, I can't stand how everything I do on the current System feels a second behind the button press.

It would be cool to see some kind of fluid graphics (IE: the smoke background thing on the PS3 or the orange/pink ghastly flow at the bottom of the screen when playing songs in the Zune software).
I love the current dash. The complaints everyone else had never hit me, besides the additional monitor support

There is a reason the 360 performs better in the real world and the PS3 has more powerful theoretical specs. Simple answer is Microsoft set aside less to the OS and Dashboard features than the PS3 did. The difference between the 13% not available to use in the PS3 because of all the needless features is huge compared to the 3-6% reserved on the 360.
Of course it is obviously more complicated than I made it sound, but that is for the laymen.

although i know updates aren't guaranteed, we never got a spring update. so technically we should have had some of this update, perhaps, in the spring. i wonder how much of this microsoft had ready around spring time and what made them decide to give us nothing in the spring (except the drm tool) and save all of this for the fall. hmmm

I never really had a problem with the old dash, but I'm seeing the NXE as something far better. I just hope avatars show some variety. Will I be able to create a not-really-fat-but-not-in-shape, bearded, nerd-goggle-wearing, trekking, metal-haired-egg-headed, sweat-soaked, long-armed otaku? Frak, now I feel insecure about myself. xD

Let the nerd flag wave man.. don't be ashamed. If only they would release star wars or star trek gear for the avatars.

You know that's a good point...they hardly ever let you make your guy fat enough. I'm 6' 2" and I look like about 215lbs even though I'm about 235, but I like to my my likenesses nice and chubby. Microsoft, make me a nice and chubby option!!!

i think it'd be kinda better in a way to flip them along a cylinder track instead of diagonal perspective. that way you can see all options at once still like the blades. just a thought. i'll get used to the new update either way.
oh, and does anyone know if a wallpaper is always zoomed in to 1/4 of it's original or can we have it take up the full screen w/ options to transparent the windows similar to the current desktop?

Before I start, i know that what I'm about to say will rank me so low that i'll be in Hell, but do I have the option of keeping the traditional Dashboard type? I will give this a go, but I still prefer the original design.

From what i have read, unless you never connect your 360 to the internet again you will have to upgrade to the new dash.

The current dash is awful but it works.
Go to this blade to download, then this one to play it.
Any chance they'll make media center extender usable?

I'm somewhat scared that this is going to require flipping through boxes constantly...which doesn't seem to fix the whole menu after menu issue the current system has.
Guess we'll see soon.
