Another week, three more games on Xbox Live Arcade. We've got Samurai Shodown II, Shotest Shogi and Rocket Bowl, a classic fighter, a Japanese board game and a wacky bowling game, respectively. As is our sworn duty, we take a look at all three of them in the latest XBLA in Brief. Check out our latest installment and find out which ones are for you.

Your complaints on Samuri Shodown 2 are very much valid indeed.
My primary grip about the game though is the prior announcement of it being 400 ms points. However, the game is worth 800 ms points easy 15 years old or not. You still get achievements, the game digitally yours forever and the support of the best online system a console has to offer.
As far as it goes as one of the best from the 90's, the SS series is a gem indeed but It does fall behind franchises like Vampire Savior, Jojo's Bizare Adventure, Street Fighter Alpha series and the Real Bout Series. Still a gem though.
People wanna see more of a presence from snk in the arcade then buy what they release its thats simple. Keep in mind the other greats like Sengoku, Magician Lord, Nam 1975, Baseball Stars and The Super Spy to name just a few.
When you say "there are better games on Xbox Live" in the instance of Rocket Bowl are you saying there are better games in the zany family genre or just better games in general?
I'd be interested to hear your opinion if you've reviewed a similar game that is better worth the money in the same genre, thanks.
At the time, I was referring to XBLA in general. That said, I do think Golf! Tee It Up, felt like a better game. I'm not sure that qualifies as 'zany' though.
It very well might be that I'm just not a bowling video game kind of guy. As I said, it would make a good family game. I'm sure many people will enjoy Rocket Bowl more than I did, the same way plenty of people will think Samurai Shodown and Shogi are garbage.
Yeah i loved and was very good at the arcade version of Samurai Shodown II back in the day. Now when I played it on xbox (i really thought i was just rusty or you could say i just suck now, but i knew something was fishy. Its hard with that D pad, and the game doesnt even tell you how to block) I was terrible, and now this review confirms my thoughts, bad controls half of the achievements are online and i really hate a bunch of online achievements in fighting games, and $10?
No I loved you but now its not the same
