"We couldn't have made it on the Xbox 360 and the reason for that is actually because we designed it around the PS3's strengths" says the Media Molecule folks, explaining that they built Little Big Planet around the PS3's architecture, Blu-ray disc capacity and that "having a hard drive on every unit makes a difference." But they aren't entirely anti-360, admitting that the console is an "incredibly capable machine" that, theoretically, could be home to LBP, "but it'd be a different game." Ouch! And all along we were under the impression that LBP could eventually release to the Xbox Live Arcade way under the 150MB Arcade limit. We guess we were wrong ... ZING!

meh. I honestly think its an innovative idea that they have with the game but really i wouldn't have bought it anyway. Someone should make The Incredible Machine for XBLA. That i would buy.

I really can't believe all the hype this game is getting. Out of all the PS3 exclusive games, this game built around a sock puppet is the least exciting for me.

I, on the other hand, have been coveting a PS3 ever since I saw the first trailer for this game. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade in my 360 for it, but LBP has me envisioning a three-console household at some point.

thats bc youre prolly bias toward xbox. when i first heard about this game and saw it i thought it was for little kids. after seeing all the trailers/multiplayer options/user creations etc. it looks incredible. the funny thing is that its a basic game for the most part.

I agree, not a game I would be interested in. Not even a rental for me. The PS3 people are drooling over it because of the lack of other things to play. Would get lost in the shuffle on this plateform imo.

Now if that wasn't bias/jealously, I don't know what is. Seriously, stop it with the ridiculous comments. The game doesn't appeal to you. So what. It's innovative and looks fresh, incredibly fun and addictive, kind of like what Banjo Kazooie may bring to 360. Let me guess, you love that game, though.

I'm so sick of fanboys posting. I have an xbox and a wii. I dont have a PS3 bc of the initial lack of games/exclusives. Anything good on PS3 I could get on x360. But you have to admit that PS3 is coming out with great games and good exclusives. I'm going to buy a PS3 for LBP. Looks like a great party game and online game. Not to mention MGS4 and God of War 3 and Resistance. For people that can only choose one system, PS3 is becoming a very good choice. I love my X360 and I'm sure that will still be my primary system but I definately can see what the LBP hype is about. Don't hate just bc X360 has nothing like this.

Would be interesting to see if the game uses more than the 8.5gigs.
And the Hard drives havent affected games like GTA4, so I doubt a puzzle game would be affected.
Looks like a thinly disguised fanboy attack to me.

Takes up 40 GBs on a dual layered Blu-Ray, currently an article about it on PS3 Fanboy.

I find "impossible" hard to believe. Yes, the game was built around the PS3 architecture, but the same results may be achieved, even if a different algorithm is necessary for the physics engine. Concerning disc space, and the HDD, that's bullshit. They are including a number of pre-designed levels which I am sure takes up all of the space. They could just copy the engine and require extra levels to be on a different disc. Or gasp, they could require the HDD for additional content (like 99% of the map packs people buy now). It's not like it's impossible.

40gigs of uncompressed storage? That's the thing people forget.. The big question is.. is it compressed or not lol.

40gigs huh? Talk about quantity over quality. They need to hire more code monkeys cause the game sounds like it was coded by the laziest bunch of monkeys. That and compression would be helpful.

I have both an XBOX 360 and a PS3, as such, I subscribe to both PS3 Fanboy and 360 Fanboy. Seriously, every few posts on PS3F is about LBP. It's getting a little tired and overhyped for a game that has one foot firmly in the casual market.

it's getting more now that it's closer but are you really going to complain when there is a halo post or more every day.

Yeah, what about Too Human? That was on here every stinking day practically for weeks and weeks. LBP is an ever-evolving game that continues to win award after award so yes, that news is justified and you are probably tired of reading and not playing so I agree with you that it sucks and does get "annoying"....

My hype was dying out a bit for this game until they showed some new Joystiq.....ewww...video about LBP, it was amazing!(even though it was only a minute long!)
Wouldn't this game on the 360 be a great way to showcase the install feature? ZING!
They should have a multiconsole fanboy so everyone is counted as trolls, because right now, I'm feeling like one.

As much as I love my Xbox, I am not going to lie, I am getting a PS3 for this game. It looks amazing to play.
