Hear that light, tapping noise echoing from various homes in your neighborhood? That's the sound of
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 fans golf-clapping to the demo released for the game on the
Xbox Live Marketplace. Clocking in at just over 1GB, the demo showcases some of the new additions of the latest entry of the popular simulation golf franchise from
EA Sports -- and by popular we mean it's the only simulation golf game available anymore. On the fence regarding a potential
Tiger Woods 09 purchase or just looking to improve your stroke? Check it out today!
Note: We were only kidding, we know
Tiger is a popular franchise regardless of its lack of competition! Also note that this is the only time we'd be able to use the phrase "improve your stroke" without getting into trouble, so we kinda
had to say it.

Is it me, or does Tiger Woods seem a little pale in this photo?

Played it and here are som info.
Some new features are there nothing to get wow abaut. The new coach is there after a hole to tell you what u did wrong and you can choose to replay some swings that you faild with, and here comes the bad part! THIS FUCKING LOADINGS SCREEN when you want to go back!!! this is just another rip of adding minimum of things att a ful price.
The game feals slower then 08 menus are slow, Still loading screens everywhere! You can really say that ea 09 lineup is not as good as 08. You can get a city in GTA 4 in one loading time but not a 300 yards golf course in Tiger 09.

Im a big fan of the Tiger series, although ive never played any on the 360. Ive played several iterations ('03-'07) on PS2 and '08 on wii. How does the 360 version stand up? Is this a worthy purchase, or should I keep looking for the '09 version to pop on Nintendo's side?

The create an old guy feature is something fans of the series have been clamoring for. I hear you can use the Vision camera to bring your face into the game, and the revolutionary GameFace technology automatically advances your age 50 years!

No, you must have downloaded the 08 demo.
Personally, i liked the demo , I love the new club tuner, the swing is easier than last year, and the graphics look a lot better than 08.
I'm definitely buying 09.

Just played it this evening. I'll pass on '09, and likely all TW to come. I'm sure there are people out there who enjoy watching your player from every conceivable angle before actually getting to where you can attempt to hit a shot. I am not one of them. Graphics are great, but the camera angles are there to mask load screens in the background. No idea if they fixed Live issues, but knowing EA, I sincerely doubt it.
What happened to just playing golf? If I want to watch a golf game on TV, I will. It almost takes as long to play 3 holes as it does in real life. (Yes, I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea.)
