For only $349 with free shipping, United States Dell.com purchasers can grab an Xbox 360 Elite bundle complete with the console itself, Forza 2, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and two additional faceplates. Though, to get the $349 pricing, you'll have to use a $100 off coupon code. To do this, simply head to Dell.com, click "Customize It", then click "Buy Now", then "Add to Shopping Cart". Now, once at the checkout screen, enter coupon code V8Q199$GCXJWL$ in the "Coupon Entry" field. Shazaam! The $449 price tag magically drops to $349. Note too that the coupon is only good through August 20th.

I'm glad I was one of the lucky ones to pick it up at the $299 price point. I saved enough to pick up a gold account for 13 months and Braid since everyone has been raving about it!

I got the $299 one last week, it's amazing how much quieter it is than my year-and-a-half old core model. I can actually play games and watch DVDs and not feel like I'm in a wind tunnel!

Since I never had an older version, I don't know what to compare it to, but I think it's the loudest thing I've ever heard. I'm glad I have a PS3 since that seems to run quieter. I'm hoping my HD-DVD drive for the xbox isn't that loud!

Hey, could u guys tell me if u got a cooler, Falcon elite?
Just check the power supply brick. If it says 175W in there, then its a Falcon. If it reads 203W, then its not.
I'm planning to buy one before August 20, so your help will be greatly appreciated!

I purchased one this morning (9am). i still have my launch console, but am going to sell to a friend who wants one for $200. Great deal since I'm upgrading for only $150 (plus Im going to trade in the games). Now i will have a quieter system, bigger harddrive, hdmi port (launch systems didn't have), and it will match my black entertainment center. How do you let the people at joystiq know about deals like this. When i purchased mine is wasn't on this website yet? Would like to know for future deals to share with the masses.

Hey, I'm planning to buy one, but I need to know if these units are Falcon.
The power supply should indicate 175W if its a Falcon. If not, then its should read 203W

I was lucky enough to get one at $299 last week as well, delivered this past Monday. Unfortunately, it didn't work out of the box -- not even red rings, just no power in general going to the console. Dell's exchange policy seems acceptable though -- the new one should be here next Wednesday.

For anyone who's already received one -
How recent are the manufacturing date on these bundles? I want to make sure they have the falcon chips in them before I buy one.

I "spoke" with a Dell rep via chat yesterday and they indicated that the multiple use coupon had been used by a maximum number of users... so... basically even though there is an expiration date, really just a bait and switch.
