It's hard to get excited for this game, especially when I can hardly enjoy the originals given their difficulty.

I am pretty excited. I love hearing people complain about the difficulty of the older mega man games. I finished Mega Man 2 with my back to the TV watching the screen in a mirror. Granted I was about 13 years old and had nothing to do besides play video games.

Megaman 2 is considered the best in the series by many, also happened to be one of the easiest. Coincidence? I think not. Making this game balls hard just to screw with people is not going to do Capcom any favors.

They've been reaching into MM2 way too much in a lot of ways. Some of the things I respect, but some things worked better and shouldn't be undone. Personally I liked MM3 the best, so what do I know.
But if you go back and play any Mega Man game, you'll quickly find this has ALWAYS been the case. There's several water focused ones, several focused on heat, at least a couple focused on wind.
This isn't a major surprise in any sense. Frankly, I'm happy that the robots are just not stupid. It got really bad as time went on. Dust Man? Search Man? Come on.

This game's going to be hard enough without the chargable Mega Buster or the slide move. Now we have to contend with these Achievements? I wonder how the guys at Capcom manage to comb their hair without letting their horns show.

Im almost positive that you will be able to earn those moves in the game, quite possibly from using the bolts you collect throughout the levels.
I mean, I'm not basing it on much, but there are certain areas that look like you can only access it from sliding and whatnot. I could be wrong, but they would be fools to not include these moves.

Untrue. They're being excluded because Keiji Inafune wanted to bring the series back to it's roots (by roots, I'm refering to his overrated lover Megaman 2) by removing all the abilities he didn't have in the first and second games, leaving us to wonder "how is Megaman suddenly not able to use moves he had since Megaman 3 and 4? Some sort of Robot amnesia?"

I wish they had just created one boss character and reused it at the end of every level. He would be called Redundant Man and his weapon would be a mighty shoulder shrug.
Oh wait...

Is it just me or does (what I'm assuming to be) Magma Man look to be some bastard child of Needle Man and Heat Man?

Yeah, Magma Man is definitely a recoloured Needle Man with flames. Tornado Man appears to be Shadow Man and Concrete Man is Guts Man.

Concrete Man looks EXACTLY like Guts Man. Oh well, it's still Mega Man and it's still awesome.

Megaman 8 was one of my all time fav's. Mainly because of the nice backgrounds and updated sprites. I will probably not pick up megaman9 because I see it as lazy development. I mean all there doing is reusing old outdated sprites...It's 2008 and were getting a 1980's game, with no real upgrades..Now if the game had better visuals and more power ups then 8 I would consider buying it, but I'm not going to buy something were the cheevo's are ridiculous, and It's reusing old sprites. Plus megaman loses all his power ups...Why don't they call this Megaman 1.5?

don't really, will probably buy it in all three consoles,
just for the sake of it being Rockman, and going to play it again and again and again. :)

Wow... there isn't an oldschool megaman game out there that I haven't beaten. In fact, Megaman and Megaman 2 were the first games I ever finished. I don't see how they can be considered so difficult. Maybe you people are too accustomed to the lack of difficulty in modern video games.
