Football fans may have noticed that
Brett Favre is still wearing his Packers uniform on the cover of
Madden 09 rather than his swanky new Jets uniform. If you just can't
stand to see Favre in the wrong uniform (or you're just obsessive compulsive), you can now download a new cover directly from
EA. The only question now is what do you do with the old cover? We suppose it might work for papercraft. Failing that, it could make a decent rain hat in a pinch. Just use your imagination kids!
What's new in Madden this year? What's different? Find out what's good (and what's not so good) in our Madden 09 Season Update.

Some guy over at EA does good Photoshop. You think they could have at least used a new picture.

I'm sorry ... but this is stupid ... Brett Favre will always be remembered as a Packer. I'm not even a Packers fan, in fact as of recently I am quite tired of hearing about Brett Favre, but the fact of the matter is Brett Favre will always be synonymous with the Packers organization.

Yeah, he's the first NFL player ever to change his mind about retirement. Don't say things that make you looking fucking retarded.

The player. Brett Favre will have one of the worst years of his career and will re-retire in disgrace, recognizing that he is (a) over the hill, (b) nothing without the Packers, or (c) both.

39 (in October) is over-the-hill?

Yes, 39 is way over the hill. Most NFL QBs don't play into their mid-30s, let alone their 40s. There have only been a handful of players who have played in their 40s, and most are kickers. No one in the history of the league has played at the physical level that Brett Favre has for so long.

Can't stand to see Favre in a Packers uniform? More like if you're a Vikings fan.

I'll take somebody's cover since the collector's edition didn't have it. Which, quite frankly, I'm a bit disappointed with. I'm a huge Packer fan and Favre fan...he will always be a Packer.
