Gears 2 video straight from the UT3 disc

Well folks, the Gears 2 content that was promised to be on the final release disc of Unreal Tournament 3 for 360 has hit our inbox (despite the fact that game itself hasn't yet hit stores). Consisting of a mash-up of interview segments with the dev team and clips of gameplay, the behind the scenes video touches on everything from new game modes to player count to weapons. Heck, why are still reading this? Just watch the video already! Still reading? Well all that's left to really say is just how much of a bomb UT3 is likely to be, especially if the only thing enticing about it is this vid.

Looking better with every video. I'm loving all the new features. The only concern I have is the rapid slow down on characters running whilst being shot at. Although Cliffy B Says the tactic of kamikaze running wasn't the game they invisioned originally I think that it worked well for the multiplayer experience in Gears1. Although they'll no doubt allay my worries as soon as the game hits and I get to play it. This is gonna be a GREAT game!!!!

I think it's Weblogs, Inc. I use Firefox and it's been happening to me all week as well. Sometime when you reply to a comment it places it under another comment instead.

Only thing that I'm kind of iffy about is the claymore idea.... Other than that looks AMAZING. Oh and did Cliffy say 7 game modes. Execution, Warzone, Wingman, Guardian, Meat Flag, and what else. Annex and maybe like a team slayer type game?

I'm getting UT3, no matter what. Considering I lost valuable years of my life to the drug that was UT99 and having a blast with UC2 on the old Xbox STILL...

Oh, what was this about? Gears 2? Meh. I don't care. Apart from the great cover mechanics and the boatloads of gore Gears wasn't that spectacular - especially with the rush-fest that is multiplayer.

So, what to expect from Gears 2? More gore? YAWN. Done to death. Food for 14-year-olds. And since Cliff said there'd be even less story in it, it probably will be a no-buy for me. Alright. rant over. And no, I'm no troll, thank you. I just happen to have my own opinion :-)

Oh man I had to create an account on this site so i can call you on your ignorance. I don't know where you heard that there is gonna be even less story in Gears 2 in fact they hired a guy named Josh Ortega(who has written for comics like Spiderman, Batman and the KOTOR prequel for Dark Horse) to work on the story. THIS GAME WILL BE EPIC(PUN DEFINITELY INTENDED)
