Being a bit more serious though, the trailer really doesn't show much; but how much is there really to show off in a turn-based strategy game? True, the game does have a real-time option, but we already have Madden for that and it just seems to be a betrayal of the game's roots. And just like certain other highly anticipated games, we're still waiting on a firm release date.

It looks like a modern Mutant League Football. Hopefully, it is as fun as its predecessor.

It is NOT an XBLA release, it is a retail release.

Indeed, you are correct sir.
All reference tags removed. Though I must say I think it'd do better there, XBLA needs something like this.
Also, keep up the great work on Gamerbytes!

i think that looks awesome !!!
i wonder if you'll have a 'Transfer' system to buy star players. coaches etc
in the board game can you have other races playing for your team? like an Orc star player for the humans? - sounds stupid but stranger things have happened - Damon to Yankees, Figo to Barcelona etc

Looks like it has the same humor and charm as Overlord. Kind of a similar look too.
In which case I'm interested. Hope it turns out to be good.

Cyanide already has some familiarity with fantasy football, they are the creators behind the PC game Chaos League and it's expansion Sudden Death, which was VERY much like Blood Bowl, only in real time. If they got rid of that and it plays more like the boardgame, then I'm a very happy camper. Chaos League was very nice, so I have high hopes for that.
