There are few existing licenses that can pull large scale, arena-style, battles off and it looks like
Lord of the Rings has just joined the ranks -- so far. In the teaser trailer for the upcoming title
Lord of the Rings: Conquest, Pandemic showcases the epic battle of good versus evil from both perspectives. Pulling inspiration from
Battlefield and its own
Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, Lord of the Rings: Conquest has shown great potential. Working closely with Peter Jackson's Weta Digital to capture the look of the award-winning films,
LotR: Conquest looks to impress gamers when it ships this fall.

I know man, graphical glitches ftl. Plus that ending was really weak, he just sort of jumped off...

lmao, you do realize that this game is several months from release? Sure, they don't "tighten the graphics on level 3", but they certainly do work a lot on compression and overall quality. Frame rate skips, unfinished animation and graphical features are all cleaned up from beta to finished product. I'd focus on the gameplay rather than the graphics at this point. ;)

I was actually referring to the poor quality of the animation and mo-cap, though the graphics kinda suck, too.
They're gonna need a lot of GOOP to clean this one up, though.

i think that looks pretty promising - battlefront games were always pretty cool !! i guess for online games theres gunna be hardly no chance of becoming the hero characters as everyone is gunna want to be aragorn or legolas etc. I think this title should be a good jolly !!
