According to Ripten, who say their source spotted "the game on a certain pre-release network", Metal Gear Solid could in fact be on the way to an XBLA release. If their source is to be believed, the game appearing on PartnerNet is almost a guarantee that it will see release at some point (though sometimes many months later, as was the case with Ikaruga.) While the Xbox isn't traditionally the home of the series, a port of the second game did find its way there, so perhaps a port of the first isn't so out of the question after all.

MGS4 for 360 rumours, anyone?. We all know how that turned out. Yeah.. Didn't happen.
Its obvious to me that this is fake. I mean why release an old game on XBLA when your selling a collection edition on the other console?
I feel its better to not comment on rumours like these that are bluntly not ever going to be true. It has way more chance appearing on the PSN than it ever will on XBLA.

MGS4 will come in the future, no one ever said it'd be a simultaneous launch.

It's possible. I mean, Soul Calibur is hitting XBLA... this could happen. But all that dialog fitting into 350MB? I don't know.

MGS4 is on a dual-layered Blu-Ray disc, which is 100 GB.
This means that MGS4 uses more then 50 GB most likely. Do you know how many goddamned dual-layered DVDs it would have to be on to get on 360? Just saying.

And here I always thought a single-layer Bluray was 25gb and and dual-layer was 50gb. Thanks for "correcting" my information Tombstone.

Alright everyone. Together now. Ohhhhh... we hope it's true but we know it's not cause everything we see in a rumor mill ends up fake(most of it). Wheee. Singsongs are fun. Even if the lyrics suck.

I highly doubt this will happen. Although if it did I wouldn't hesitate buying this.. even tho I'm not the biggest MGS fan.

Also I'm not completely sold that they were poking fun at the 360. I think some of the past MGS games had multiple discs.

tosaturn and tom, the joke isn't for the 360 or any other system that uses more than one disc. The joke is about a scene in MGS1 which you revisit in MGS4. In other words, mgs4 snakes goes to a location in mgs1 that required him to swap disc. In metal gear solid one, this is the part where you get a message to swap disc from octacon. Since the game is on the ps3 and not the ps1, he does not have to swap disc.
You can read it as a bash on 360, but it isn't and is more of a jab at the old mgs1 game
