Got this game and have been playing it for the past few days. It is really lame. I'm trading it back in for credit.
I did have a notion that it was going to be bad, but I like FPS games and thought I'd give it a spin. Waste of money.
The land vehicle controls are bad, it's like trying to drive a warthog with a broken controller. The controls for flying vehicles are even worse, I've been trying for days and can not keep the vehicle steady enough to fire on targets.
If you like run and gun (which this is) then wait for Unreal Tournament III. I also have a PS3 and UT3 is far superior. If you prefer Battlefield type games then I'm sure your aware that Battlefield BC is only a few weeks away.
ET: Quake - Complete thumbs down!!

I've been waiting for this game for ages. Bought it on day of release.
Firstly, it crashes my xbox frequently. I've never had a problem with my xbox (couple of month old falcon core elite). Xbox live is full of people who say they're getting the same problem.
When it did work, this game was horribly disappointing. Perhaps Halo and COD have raised the bar too high, but I failed to feel any real excitement playing.
I took this game back and exchanged it for a couple of older titles I missed first time round. Perhaps ET:QW will find a few homes thanks to the black hole GTA has torn in the release schedule.
Make up your own minds, but I urge you to try this game before buying.

Don't care, playing Team Fortress 2.
And if any of you really care, get it for PC because Xbox Live's mentality of "Frags > Score/Objective" doesn't go well with Team games.
Expect a whole lot of vehicle whoring.

its not even like that. The game is surprisingly a lot of fun especially when you got 2 teams that know how to play. Yeah you get those idiots that are just all about kills, but you have to remember the game is only a few days old. It has a STEEP learning curve. I've been an Enemy Territory player since ET:W on PC and im still learning new things on QW. Yeah they arent exactly the same but there are similarities. As far as the air controls go..just keep trying, i got a real good hang of them now after only 2 nights of playing. They are real easy now.

I played the original "Enemy Territory" when it was developed for free and based off of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Being free and PC only and it was really a full scale game, it was some of the best PC Gaming experience I have had. And excellent job.
This however, doesn't quite live up to the awesomeness of its predecessor. I think they went a bit too over the top with this and tried to do to many things differently. Too bad really, because the base concepts which are there, are potential to great things.
