Given all the news surrounding the relevancy of titles for the Live Arcade, is a possible revamp of a 1981 old-school arcade title that is already on XBLA in another form a good decision for MS? While it is true that the XBLA version of the original isn't up for delisting, it isn't exactly the star of the service. What do you think readers? Does Galaga Legions sound interesting?

I really enjoyed the Galaga remake on the PSP via Namco battle collection, this would be real fun as long as it retains the charm of Galaga as well!

This is awesome, and a lot better than another overpriced piece of garbage from Penny Arcade/Hothead Games.

If it's as good as Pac-Man C.E., I will definitely get it.

Yeah, Pac-Man C.E. was totally awesome and if this is as well done as that I'd definitely bite.

I have no issue with quality remakes. Here's hoping Microsoft's "quality control" is a diligent filter.

As long as a game is good, I don't care how old the origin is. They could release a new Pong game, as long as it's fun, that's what matters to me. By discounting the game before it released or playing it, you could really be doing yourself and other a disservice.
Now if there was a 90% complete build that sucked donkey balls, then there wouldn't be any complaints on my part.

I'm down for a Galaga remake.
My most-requested remake will always be Perfect Dark. I feel that remakes must be encouraged.

After I purchased Pac-Man C.E. I knew immediately that I wanted a Galaga remake in the same way (along with Dig Dug, if they're willing)
They have my money.

Galaga Deluxe was an awesome game on the Amiga. If they make it similar to that, I'd be all over it.
Looks like Galaga Deluxe has a PC/Mac version called "Warblade".

I freaking love Galaga. It's my favorite arcade game. Simple, but challenging and fun.
So a resounding hell yes from me. :)

"We're getting rid of all the crap on XBLA"
"Let's release a remake of an old arcade game that's ALREADY been released on the XBLA!"

Makes sense to get rid of games that don't download well and have a low metacritic rating. Galaga does not fall in either of these categories, it will be great to have both the original rock solid version plus a new one with a next gen makeover!
games will come and go but GALAGA will live forever!

You know Pac-Man C.E. was a surprise hit for me...it really was more than just another Pac-man. If they could do the same for Galaga then I'd buy it.
