Of course Gears of War 2 was a hot topic and fans asked how it will stand-up to it's Game of the Year winning predecessor. "With the sequel, we're able to significantly streamline the online experience with a far more robust package that enables players to kick more ass online with their friends," Cliff answered.
Without giving away too much information on the single-player experience, Cliff said the game must throw more interesting scenarios at players in between combat situations to stay fresh, "In Gears 2, we've got dozens of surprises in every level that will keep people talking for months to come."
With changes to Epic's premier gaming engine fans wondered how updates to Unreal Engine 3 will change the Gears experience. While Cliff was tight-lipped, he assured gamers the environments would add to the experience with a wider capacity for damage. "Players will really feel like they're in a sci-fi multiplayer version of Black Hawk Down."
Gears of War 2 hits Xbox 360 this Novemeber.

Wow, he lost the B and instantly became a lot less of a douche. Good interview.

For a guy who's dropping his nickname of 'Cliffy B', so people might take him more seriously, perhaps he should stop posing around with imitation chainsaw guns first.

I for one enjoy the replica Lancer and, if owned one, would take every opportunity to be photographed with it.

Agreed Dustin, then again I have no shame.
Glad he dropped that B, because his little nickname drove me to the point of violent outbursts.

He seems like a cool guy now without that stupid nickname. I wanted to hurt a kitten every time I heard it.

No offense but you guys are pretty sad saying that all of a sudden now that he dropped the B he is less of a douche, he is the same person, "a rose by any other word would smell as sweet" - shakespeare, he is still the same damn guy.
As for the interview lot of information but mostly just a summation of everything he has said before. I dont get the part where he says "keep your head down" you would think he meant up, but i can not wait for gears 2, i might get UT3 just for visuals sake.

He needs to stop swearing and talking like a teenager if he wants people to take him seriously.
New name or not, the guy is still an "oo-rah" moron.

I find it funny that people think that after Cliff dropped his nickname people think that he somehow is an entirely different person in interviews. I'm pretty sure that he answered these questions before he asked to drop the nickname. The game looks pretty cool though.

I disagree, I'm pretty sure when he saw that hilarious youtube video of himself being "Cliffy B" he went into serious PR mode. That's why he dropped the name. And that's why he's all the sudden less of a douche. He saw what an idiot he always looks and sounds like.

While I hate to interrupt all the 12 year old prepubescent girls arguing about how sex they think cliffy b is now that he dropped his nickname, there is actually some fairly big Gears 2 info in this interview.
-Thank god someone finally asked about whether or not they're trying to reduce host advantage in Gears 2. It's good to hear that it's high on their list.
-I don't think I like this new idea of bullets from the front slowing you down. It seems like it will just turn things into a lancer camp fest with unless they tone the lancer back down from where they boosted it to in the last patch.
