For the record, the "slow down" on the explosions at the end of the boss fights in Ikaruga is in fact a feature. It's supposed to be dramatical. It's been a part of every version of the game on every platform.

AAC should definitely work on your iPod. I can view the enhanced show on mine.
The big problem is having both MP3 and AAC on the same feed. Apparently it takes technical wizardry to make that work. We'd switch to AAC only, but not everyone can play them.
