Heads up to all the COD4 players out there! Remember back when the game launched last fall and there was a weekend event to celebrate? Sure you do. Well it's happening again next weekend. Thanks to a press release from Microsoft, we can report that next weekend you'll have the opportunity to play against the COD4 devs as well as an MMA fighter named Jens "Lil Evil" Pulver (though we honestly have no idea what significance being an MMA fighter has in the land of FPS). Not only that, but just playing during the weekend will enter you for all sorts of prizes. The times for the prizes and sweepstakes are Friday, April 18 at 12:01am through Sunday, April 20 at 11:59pm. The time that the MMA fighter and devs will be online is Friday, April 18 from 6-9pm. If you're at all interested register here. Good luck! (Note: All times are Eastern Daylight, EDT)

I see someone missed the part about needing to register to get the "great sweepstakes prizes"

Would these "great sweepstakes prizes" be only for US & Canada (but not Quebec of course!) by any chance?
But yeah, EVERY weekend is a Live Fire weekend in my house!! (Minus the prizes, devs and 'famous' people.)

Something else I noticed clicking around on this on my 360. There is a free picture pack of the 10 different prestige level icons. I don't know if this is new or not, but I'd never seen it.

Two things, being an MMA fighter has as much to do with FPS as Lil' Bow Wow or P.O.D. has to do with Madden. HAHA! Secondly, I've met Jens Pulver in real life, and he's a pretty cool guy... plus he's incredibly tiny.

Lil Evil! nice! I heard this guy talk about COD4 in a Podcast on PC Gamer... definitely knows the game. I've met him too! great guy! not at all what you would expect out of a guy that beats people up for a living! Can't wait to play him! Wonder if he'll read this blog? Jens if you do read this, kick Faber's ass!

Can someone explain to me how different COD is from Medal of Honor? MoH is the only war-style game I've owned and I've only ever played COD at a friend's house. I also heard (from here: http://www.expotv.com/videos/reviews/22/193/CallofDuty43AModernWarfare/238170) that COD4 was made by different developers than the previous CODs. Is it significantly better with the new developers?

Hi Spin, yes COD4 was made by a different developer than COD3. They normally take turns so in theory the COD4 devs (Infinity Ward) will be doing COD6, not 5.
COD4 has a modern warfare setting so it's present day rather than WWII era.
Just buy it. You won't be disappointed! It's #1 on Xbox Live for a reason!
